beautiful, quirky, amazing,

a VERY different acoustic guitar album, with Fripp's trademark polyrhythms and strangeness. My personal favorite is "Asturias"(not to be confused with the famous Albeniz piece of the same name), which is posetively entrancing.

One Of The Best Records Ever Made,

Complex, intricate, beautiful. Steven Reich meets Beethoven meets King Crimson ala Mr. Fripp's dutiful attention to orchestration via mechanization. 17 guitarists playing as one playing as 17. Patricia Leavitt paces the record with her words and dynamic vocal range.Truly amazing.

Wonderful and Unique Acoustic Guitar Album,

This album has some fantastic orchestrated acoustic guitar work. I'm particularly fond of the haunting avant guard flamenco influenced track Asturias. It's just wonderful. Where this CD really falls short for me on the vocal tracks. Though the a cappella Fripp-ian scale work is technically impressive, I can't say I enjoy listening to it. To each his own. Even so, I highly recommend this album.

After viewing the reviews below, I went back to give this album a listen. I found the "scat-ish" vocal tracks to be very different and captivating. The guitar work was just dazzling. What discipline! What style! I admonish the last two reviewers for their questioning the choices made by one of our generation's musical geniuses. Maybe a little naive or closed minded? Great album!

It would be decent without the...voice,

The acoustic guitar playing is not bad at all on this CD. But the female's voice is absolutely terrible and I just can't recommend this CD simply because of her intro voice before most of the tracks. How could Robert let her on the CD?!?!?! I just don't understand it.
