The latest grooming video on the market is "Show Off Your Dog" by Ena Lane of Show Off Shih Tzu. This sixty-minute video is designed to cover the basics of grooming and does so very well...Laced throughout this video are beneficial tips...the quality is excellent, very professionally done. The backgrounds accentuated the dog used and the accompanying music sets an easy, relaxed tone. Prior to each section, a list of necessary supplies are listed. At the end of each section the main points are emphasized and reviewed. As a video designed to cover the basics of grooming, I would recommend it to anyone learning to groom or looking for different methods. This video was very limited in application to dogs. The subject being groomed was a show dog whose hair was in excellent condition, no mats, already expertly cut. Dog was also perfectly cooperative and passive. There were no tips about cleaning or grooming specific areas, such as ears, paws, or bottom. If you want to know how to do a top knot, then this video is for you.

This is a wonderful grooming video and I recommend it.

I don't have a purebred dog; she is a Lhasa mix but I still care a lot about how she looks (and feels) and about grooming her correctly MYSELF.

With the help of this video, I can "show off" my little dog and I am thrilled about that. I am proud of her and of myself too!

I follow everything I learned from watching this video and I learned a great deal - many new things. This is a very well done work and I look forward to enjoying it over and over again.

I found "Show Off Your Dog GROOMING BASICS" to be extremely limited. It does give a good illustration of bathing, combing, and how to do a top knot, but too much time is spent on each task. There is very little instruction on how to position your dog for clipping, and "no" instruction on how to get your dog to cooperate. If you want to learn how to use clippers on your dog, this is not the video for you. Overall, it's a disappointment.
