4.0 out of 5 stars Get your freak on!!
This was one of the freakiest books I've ever read. Freaky as hell but good. This novel is very different from alot of others out there right now, that's why I liked it. I'm an avid reader so I usally can predict what's going to happen next..but not this one. I have to give Nelson George credit for this novel, and plan to buy his other works.

I was not impressed by this book. I read this author's previous book "One Woman Short" and enjoyed it, this current book left me feeling oh well.

I was intrigued by the excerpt, but wasn't excited by the content. I expected a different connection between the books characters. I figured out the connection of the characters early and somehow lost my enthusiasm for the story. It was good in that it explored the world of cyberspace and the willingness in which people will freely express things over that medium.

The erotic nature of the book kept me interested however, the scenes were often a laugh or a bit too strange for my tastes. The characters came across as unrealistic in certain instances.

It was not the worst book I've read, but it's not a book that I'll recommend to anyone.

5.0 out of 5 stars Peek-A-Boo!, August 6, 2001
This review is from: Show and Tell (Paperback)
SHOW AND TELL provided a peek into cybersex and fantasies of the forbidden kind by using Dean, producer of Ricki Lake/Oprah Winfrey/Jerry Springer type talk show, Millie, his corporate girlfriend, and mysterious Bee, a lady of many talents. By throwing Bee's husband into the mix, the reader is taken from one sexual extreme to another, and it's all in the name of living out a fantasy. Even though the novel wasn't as graphic as I had assumed it would be, it is still easy to see how people can be caught up in living out their secret desires just by being enticed from the most unlikely of sources.

5.0 out of 5 stars Show & Tell = Sex & Fun!, July 16, 2001

Reading Show and Tell was the most fun I've had reading a book in a while. This is a book whose subject matter centers around sex, and although it could get "steamy" at times, I never found it disgusting or raunchy. Nelson George pulls off writing an engaging book that caught me from the "Godiva Chocolates scene" up until the very last page. The main character, Dean Chance, was a man who THOUGHT his woman satisfied him, especially in the bedroom, but after he meets a temptress named Bee Cole, his world was literally turned upside down. Bee was the kind of lady who saw what she wanted (in this case, Dean) and she got exactly whom she wanted! Readers looking for a hard-to-put-down book that has some sex thrown in for good measure should definitely check this book out and soon!

I didnt think that this book would take the turn that it did...i was looking for a basic story, but Nelson through a brother for a loop. this book hit on the very nature of man...while he has a woman at home, a good freak will make him stray 6 out of 10 times. i kept reading to see when the other shoe would fall and to get some thoughts for my own freaky side. After reading this and One Woman Short, im becoming a Nelson George fan

This book is muy caliente! In "Show and Tell", Nelson George introduces us to Drew, an upwardly mobile, thirty-something daytime talk show producer. At the outset, Drew seems happy and satisfied with both his career and his relationship with Millie, a successful Internet entrepeneur. When Millie's work calls for an extended roadtrip across the country, Drew's personal life takes an unexpected turn when he meets and freaks Bee, a sexy mystery woman. Almost simulataneously, Drew also finds himself directed to spice up the talk show's segments by focusing on sexual topics in a bid to gain higher ratings.

As Drew's professional and personal lives become satured with all things sexual, havoc ensues: relationships are damaged, careers are jeapordized, and skeletons come rattling out of more than a couple of closets. Very juicy stuff!

I enjoyed the various twists and turns the story took as it unfolded, and the sex scenes were spicy and erotic without being salacious. Although the ending was a little too pat, this book kept me thoroughly entertained - I read it in one sitting.

If you like your fiction a little on the saucy, racy side, read this book. You won't be disappointed.

5.0 out of 5 stars Erotic, May 21, 2001

Nelson George tells the story of Dean Chance-the producer of a popular talk show, his girlfriend Millie, & the outrageous Bee Cole. Get ready to go on a sexual romp through Dean's life. Dean is happy with his girlfriend Millie(or so he thinks) until he meets Bee Cole. Bee Cole is a sexy, brazen beauty who introduces Dean to the kinkier side of life. Bee takes Dean on a ride of his life (literaly) making his fantasies come true. What about his girlfriend Millie though....she has a secret of her own. I highly recommend this one it is a fast paced easy read that you will not want to put down.

I loved reading Show & Tell. It's the kind of story where you're not sure where it's going, but the more you read, the more your mouth drops open due to all the fantastic plot twists and non-stop action. In this novel, Nelson George did an excellent job with this sexy, fast paced, intense, and freshly written story that's both humorous and intelligent. Main character Dean Chance works in the television industry and he loves to have sex...not just the boring, routine kind of sex but the 'what-can-i-do-to-twist-my-body-differently-tonight' kind of sex. His lust and sexual choices cause him to endure terrifying consequences. Between his girl, Millie, and the seductive, Bee Cole, there are quite a few 'out there' characters in this book, but they all contribute to make this a fun-filled story that will have you fascinated and shocked and maybe even fantasizing.

Nelson George gets down and dirty in this tribute to sex, sex, and more sex. Dean appears conservative to the outside world, a producer of a highly rated talk show, he resists turning changing the format of the show to a more sexual theme. But it doesn't take long for him to warm up to the idea though he still as his reservations. The research is the best part of the job. He loves his fiancee Millie, but the allure of Bee Cole is too much temptation. How far will he go? How low will he go? This book explores some of things you may have dreamed or thought about but don't have the nerve. On-line sex chats, menage a trois, swinging; this is the world that is explored. The book however gives just enough and doesn't saturate you with detail that would could otherwise make this a work of borderline pornography. This is very tastefully done and has some humorous scenes.
