Showa Best 451 (former 300i) Atlas Therma-Fit Palm Coating Natural Rubber Glove, 10-Gauge Insulated Seamless Knitted Liner, by Showa Best Glove.
These gloves are not totally waterproof, or designed for long term outdoor wear. Insulated ski gloves would be better for use in those conditions. If kept dry on the woven part of the glove on the back of the hand, these gloves will keep your hands warm and dry for at least an hour of snow shoveling. The rubber grip will enable you to keep a good grip on a snow shovel while keeping out water and melting snow. You can brush snow off of your car without your hands getting wet. They are also thin enough to use as driving gloves. The gloves are thin and flexible enough to flex in any direction without hindering movement, unlike a lot of totally waterproof PVC gloves. They are as flexible as dish washing gloves, and provide more warmth than dish washing gloves, but they are not water-proof on the backs. They are not bulky, so you can keep a spare pair in the same coat pocket, if the first pair gets wet and cold. It would be nice if someone made a totally waterproof version of these gloves, but in the meantime, these gloves will do the job. Order one size larger than your normal size. I contacted the manufacturer, and unfortunately, the Showa company does not manufacture sizes larger than XL. Since their XL is actually a size L, they are a bit tight on my hands, but the fabric back does stretch a bit. Also unfortunately, the Showa company says that they do not make a similar glove with latex on the back as well. Lydia at LChamlee@Showagroup.com, if you are reading this, please pass it on to the powers that be. Four stars.

I use these all through winter to do snow measurements for CoCoRaHS. They greatly improve my grip on the cold slippery outer tube of my rain/snow gauge - way better than leather.

I also use them when changing the oil on all my vehicles and toys; when snow blowing my driveway; when wrapping up cold hoses; when cutting, splitting, and stacking firewood; when pulling weeds and other garden and yard work - anytime I need a good grip on a handle.

They seem plenty warm to me and the thickness adds cushioning to the handling of hard things like firewood.

I wash mine in the washing machine and lay them out to dry. If you dry them in the dryer, they tend to collect a bunch of fuzzies and any dog/cat hair that might be in the load.

The natural rubber part loses its texture if you get gasoline on them - it doesn't fall off, it just gets smooth.

I was thinking these would be like other brands with a warm fuzzy inside-no. They are for mildly cold temps, but not like other brands with thicker lining.
