For years and years I wanted to read these well-drawn silver age stories. Now you don't have to wait indefinetely for the lot to come out in the DC Archive editions. If you don't mind B/w (and I'm quite happy with it), this volume will take you to the end of the Atom's solo magazine run, namely issue 38.
(If you want the Atom & Hawkman issues 39-45, buy Showcase presents Hawkman vol 2). Included are two great team-ups with Al Pratt, the Golden Age Atom from Earth-2. One of these is depicted on the cover of this volume). Several time pool stories occur, and artists include the legendary Gil Kane. (If you like that, try Showcase presents Green Lantern volumes too). They're also much cheaper than the archive editions. |
