The first thing that stood out for me in this volume is how short the stories were. 6 or 7 page tales. These are the classic Sgt.Rock tales of epic battles in World War 2. If you miss the days of comics with clear cut good guys and bad guys, you'll love this volume. Excellent art and good writing make for a fun time for the reader. You can't go wrong for the price when you get over 500 pages of The Rock.

I can only echo the previous accolades for this massive collection of Sgt. Rock and Easy Company. The buyer, however, needs to be aware that this volume's contents are printed in black and white. But like photography, this showcases the detail instead of hiding it with color. Hope we don't have to wait too long for Volume 2.

This is a very welcome collection of hundreds of pages of Sgt. Rock. Any fan should have this collection. Hopefully, Showcase will come out with volume 2, etc. as well as the missing volume on The Losers
