Showdown is well-organized and stimulating, though easy to understand. I began this read as a skeptic, but I researched several statements and found truth behind them. I'll keep going on the research, but Evans' accuracy is impressive thus far. I'm pleased to have read this book, and I recommend it as a valuable source of information on the subject.

I am so sick of the the Iranian president's avoidance of issues and wish he would just saying plainly what he truly believes. It is so refreshing to have it summed up so neatly without all the sidestepping around the issues that I have been hearing on the news and reading in articles such as the current Time magazine. Ugh! Why doesn't Mr. Ahmadinejad just state what he truly thinks,instead of dodging questions, and redefining his statements with terminology that has double meanings? For example, he says he loves all people, but he doesn't define the "Zionist occupants" in this group of "all people" that he loves. He also has denied the Holocaust ever occurred, though these days he is very careful to sidestep around his previous denial, and will only admit this is his belief when pinned down by skillful reporters. I guess Anne Frank's diary was just so much propaganda......

I've read "Showdown with Nuclear Iran" and found it to be alarming and frightening, but pressing, and accurate. Personally, I would recommend reading it, but don't listen to me or anyone else. It's full of important information and each of us has a responsibility to check out credible sources of intelligence if we are going to separate the truth from the lies and agendas. It is a fact, that we will all live with the consequences of our choices. This would not be a good time to disregard, or cast aside this relevant work.

Michael Evans has written a well reseached, well thought out book in Showdown with Nuclear Iran: Racical Islam's Messianic Mission to Destroy Isreal and Cripple the United States. The book is filled with accurate information, which leads to its credability and so, the author's main point about how the present Iranian administration is, in reality, a sitting dynamite keg waiting to explode in the Middle East. And the truth is, that those sitting in the West are fully aware of this. It makes me wonder how prepared the West actually was in preparing for the eventual confrontation that will occur with Iran once the issues of Iraq heat up (I did say 'heat up') and Sadam Hussein's conviction and sentencing occurs. Interestingly, it will be further interest to see what Iran's position on Nuclear disamrmament will be once North Korea moves ahead with its announced plans to test one of their warheads.

The facts are inescapable: the Iranian government has clearly stated its position that it intends to rid the world of Isreal. We've been there before: his name was Adolph Hitler. The places were a divided Germany. How far off are we today with a disheveled Middle East and a maniac desireous of mass extermination?

In his pointed writing style, Michael Evans demonstrates that he is not a war-monger, but a person who believes that freedom is not free and liberty is an ongoing experiment worthy of protecting.

Mike Evans, in constant contact with world leaders, knows the threats to America more than any other leader in the Christian (or secular) world. He presents a warning to America in order to increase awareness before other attacks on America occur such as happened on 911. If we in America are to continue in our state of denial of the real threat Iran presents, we are doomed to suffer the consequences of our ignorant decisions. We need authors like Mike Evans and books like "Showdown with Nuclear Iran" in order to better know our enemies and know how to deal with them.

This book by Mike Evans is a must-read for anyone interested in an uncertain world and the place of the United States in it.
The author lays out in detail Iran's regime toward acquiring nuclear weapons, along with a very clear warning about the crisis that lies just beyond the current horizon of the Middle East.
The enemy is much more than al-Qaeda, Hamas and Hezbollah, and the stakes are a lot higher than most people realize.
Mike Evans treats Iran's nuclear threat with the gravity and urgency it deserves. It gives you a better understanding of Islam, Bible prophecy and the underlying forces driving the present early stages of what may indeed be the final clash of ideologies and civilizations. You will see the startling similarities between the biblical Antichrist and Islam's messiah figure known as Imam al-Mahdi. Radical Islam's messianic mission is to destroy Israel and cripple the United States.
It takes courage and insight to tell the readers just how deep a fix the Western world is in, and to present practical and useful solutions for its salvation.
It is a wake-up call for Christians to learn how the future of the Church, the future of Islam and the future of the whole world are divinely interconnected. It gives moral clarity for the days ahead.

Mike Evans has done it again.

Somehow, though it does not see to matter to many. Fox Mulder of TV's "X Files" was known for the poster on the wall of his office which read, "I want to believe". It seems to me that many are just the opposite. They don't want to believe-even when it is presented to them in a readable, cogent presentation like "Showdown".

Mike as usual has produced a highly documented, undeniable scenario that unfortunatly is frighteningly accurate. World history generally ignores the 4000 year old conflict between the sons of Abraham because it is in the Bible. Yet,the earth is spinning on the pivot point of this stormy relationship.

Mike Evans has provided a solid overview of the current landscape and how it affects the U.S. and the world, and has posed solutions that require that this country, at least, return to a positon of moral clarity and political and intellectual honesty. There will be no quick fixes to problems that are so fundamentally deep. The solution will be a soul searching shakeup of the make up of America, a return to the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob and a willingness to stand up to the darkness that is sweeping our planet.

I am glad that we have a watchman on the wall who is sounding the trumpet as the enemy approaches. I, for one, pray that American is not sleeping so soundly in her comforts that she cannot hear the trumpets warning and awake in time to stop the flood that even now laps at the footings.

I immediately read this book as soon as I bought it. I was impressed with the amount of information Mr. Evans covered that the the media simply ignores. America must take action soon before it's too late. There are no easy answers to the situation but doing nothing is not an option. Mr. Evans gives some possible solutions to the crisis. In addition, he also gives possible outcomes to certain situations.

Mr. Evans also gives a wealth of information that has lead to this current crisis - very impressive. He has inside information that not everyone has.

The book isn't saturated with Scripture as his past past books are. I was a little disappointed in that area but that may be a good thing for those who don't know or don't read the Bible.

All in all, I highly recommend this book. It's a serious wake-up call for America! We must take action before it's too late! I urge you to buy this book!

Showdown with nuclear Iran may well be covered by bible prophecy specifically Ezekiel 39. According to this chapter there is to be a war in the Middle East in which only one sixth of the population of those who come against Israel will survive. Israel will be seven years burning the weapons of their enemies (radiation too high to go in?) after which it will take seven months to bury the dead. Reading in Zechariah 14:12 we get a vivid picture of thermonuclear warfare where the flesh is consumed from the bones etc. The rest of this chapter tells how Israel will politically dominate the remainder of the peoples who came against them.

A nuclear war in the Middle East would not surprise any watcher of the evening news. Every time there is war in the Middle East I wonder if it is the one spoken of by the prophet Ezekiel. That war has not happened yet but it can't be far off. It will spell the end of Islam in the Middle East and may also spell the end of the times of the Gentiles when the eyes of Israel will again be opened and they will know who their Messiah is. This is also alluded to in the prophecy.

The matching of prophecy to current events is a hobby of mine.
