I purchased the book for help planning a baby shower. There is very little information for baby showers. Most of the book (about 3/4) is devoted to bridal showers. For this reason, the title is very misleading.

I thought the information was helpful in that it provided a detailed planner, but I would have preferred some pictures. I enjoy getting ideas from actual pictures and there are none in this book, just a few very simple drawings.

The information in this book is very thorough, covering the many different types of showers. The timeline planner/checklist is very helpful in staying on track and not missing important details such as mailing invitations in a timely manner. Wonderful recipes are included for desserts, drinks, hors d'oeuvres, and main course items. The detail in each section of the book is excellent. For example, the chapter covering "Bridal Shower Themes" not only gives clever themes, but also includes extensive lists of gift suggestions.

I recently hosted a shower and used several of the games Ms. Clark recommends; they were a lot of fun. I definitely recommend this book.
