Haven't been through an entire season with them yet.
Marcus Musselman
I've tried other shoe covers and they were too much of a struggle to get on or I was stretching/tearing seams.

My feet are still warm even on those 30-minute rides in 20-degree temps with 15mph winds.

I'm really happy to have found these, they serve my purpose perfectly. I wanted something that packed small, which I could carry in my pannier for unpredictable weather days. They pack down completely flat, taking up little space and are light weight. Offer impermeable coverage with some rain pants over the top. Just the insurance I've been looking for, without a difficult packing dilemma. They definitely seem like an occasional use product, you wouldn't expect them to last with everyday use or very much walking in them, but I prefer that to something heavier weight; at least for my short commute, wearing casual office dress clothes.

Here are my two-cents on durability: I'm ready to retire my first pair (several small holes and tears) after more than a year of service. I am a year-round bike commuter (using standard pedals with toe clips) and wear these not only when it is raining/wet, but also when the temp. is below 30f (I live in Chicago, so that's most days in the winter.) I'm guessing I got about 120-140 one-way, eight-mile trips out of them... and could have gotten more had I not walked around in them so much. The booties are thin enough not to be hot in the summer, and the fact that they are wind-proof helps a surprising amount in keeping the feet warm in the winter. Like any other piece of cycling gear, I didn't expect them to last forever... but they kept my feet comfortable and dry for about 25 cents per one-way trip. I think that's pretty reasonable.

The large size is too big for a size 9.5 shoe, should have bought medium. Check the Showers Pass website for sizing:
Club Shoe Cover
Length (in.) M’s Street Shoe W’s Street Shoe
XS 10’’ 7 - 8 7.5 - 9
SM 11” 8.5 -10.5 9.5 - 11.5
MD 11.5” 10.5 - 12 12 - 13.5
LG 12.5” 13 - 14.5 –
XL 13” 14.5 - 16 –

These will soak through if you are touring all day in the rain. Shoes will get damp. But they serve their purpose in keeping your shoes from getting splashed by cold water. They soak through slowly so you feet will stay warm as long as you keep peddling. Once you stop, you will begin to notice the dampness immediately.

I'm not a hard-core cyclist but I do commute every day all year round. I usually have a 15-minute commute to work and occasional meetings 30 minutes away. I just wanted to wear my sneakers rather than having to carry them in my panniers (bulky!) and have a second set of shoes for cycling (pricey!). As the weather got colder my feet would get really cold even on these short rides.

I tried several other shoe covers and eventually got these (size Large for my men's 9.5 US sneakers, which just barely fit.) They work amazingly well! My feet are still warm even on those 30-minute rides in 20-degree temps with 15mph winds.

Plus they work great when it's raining! Combined with a pair of rain pants that go over them, I can get to the office and be instantly ready to go - no extra shoes required.

My situation is a little unusual, I was trying to find something to cover my son's special orthopedic high-top shoes that are like sandals (open-toed). I needed something to keep his feet warm and dry in the winter; he can't wear boots because he just kicks them off against the footplates of his wheelchair. These shoe covers are easy to get on and off because of the rear zipper and fit well over his special shoes, although the XS size is a bit narrow and might not accomodate wider soles like athletic/running shoes. The material is lightweight but it is wind- and water-proof. And they actually stay on his feet! The price was very reasonable and I am happy with this purchase.

Brought these with me to tour in NZ. I've worn them for 3 short stretches of wet weather. Turned them inside out to dry ayer the last ride and noticed these are totally delaminating around the inside of the heels and along the bottom seams. ZRubbish.
