I had read a few rather critical reviews of this device (hydration system sounds a little exaggerated) but decided to ignore them because they sounded as if they were made by folks who don't put in big miles when cycling, I do. If you put in long miles at some point or another two frame mounted bottles will not be enough. Your only alternative then is a backpack canteen which has downsides in my book, it changes your center of gravity when its full, when its empty it just sits their on your back and in both cases I don't like how hot I get with the backpack against my back.

This gives me the equivalent of another two bottles, the frame carries the load not me and its simple. If there is one suggestion for improvement it would be to make the storage pocket a little bigger, it can hold a tube and some tire levers some cash and a credit card or two but nothing more. A little more space would give enough room to add a multi-tool. For what its designed for I think its great. I may buy a couple more for my cycling friends...

I am loving this thing. Have had only one issue with it so far and that was the flow was not fast enough. I changed out the mouth piece with one I had from a Camelback and it works great.

Just received my shower pass and I think I am going to like it, however, I took the water reservoir out of the case to take a look at it and see how I would empty it and clean it... it took me 10 minutes to get it tucked back inside. The material around the opening does not stretch. Hopefully I am missing a trick... but at this moment I am frustrated. I believe once I get it installed and use it I will be happy. Just wish it was easier to remove and clean the reservoir.

UPDATE ... I am updating my review... I give this a 2 star. I returned it for several reasons... 1. All my tools to fix a flat would not fit in the bag. 2. The unit is VERY cumbersome. Once you get it on the bike it would be a chore to remove the water bottle to empty it and clean it out. You cannot just slip it out of the zip pouch, you would have to disassemble it from your bike seat. And 3, one of the little magnet pieces was already coming loose.

Great idea, poor implementation.

My wife bought this for me for Valentines Day. Within 6 months the strap holding the bottle to the seat snapped (swapped replaced FOC by REI), both retracting cables broke, and before I tried to those replaced, the hose developed cracks that started leaking while just sitting there. Once I sent them pics and told them of my newer problems, I never heard from them again. This is a great idea, but product is definitely made with sub-quality materials.

I like this for short rides on hot days (keeps your back clear & ventilated), but I have a Camelback for most rides & it keeps my water from freezing better in the winter as well as a bit more handy anyway.

Love the concept and it worked great for the first few months. Than the velcro attachment ripped, so I replaced it with some zip straps. Just now the main rachet strap broke while riding off a curb on a city commute forcing me to end my ride short. Also the screw on cap is a pain in the butt that never seals properly. I still plan to fix it up and make it stronger with some nylon webbing so I can continue to use it, but for me the quality has proven to be less than acceptable. Buyer Beware.

Exceeds my expectations. Very easy to mount, no tools needed. Easy to fill. Easy to drink from while riding. Easy to refill. Easy to remove from bike. You do NOT have to move the saddle AT ALL to mount or remove this system, and you do NOT need any tools. Bag is totally secure, and includes a repair kit pocket. Mouthpiece is easy to use.
In short, I LOVE IT !!
