I've owned this book for several years and constantly use it as a resource for color combinations for my wardrobe. I've been amazed at the combinations that I now use that I never would have before. Just seeing the color chip combinations has given me incredible confidence to experiment without worrying about looking like a clown. I've had more than a few people tell me that they never would have guessed that some of the color combinations I wear could be so attractive together. I highly recommend this book!

I have owned this book for over 10 years and I have found the book helpful in regards to color combination. If you want fashion help try another book but if you want help in color combining I found this book extremely helpful.

this book explains use of color very well. even for a guy! while some of her comments sounds dated (grey and yellow is cool now), it is well done. I just wished there were more color with up dated names.

At first blush, the book may seem kind of minimalist, or simplistic. But leafing through it can give you ideas for color combos for clothing and other things that may not have occurred to you, that may be a little out of the ordinary. And, you can see if the combos appeal to you before trying them in real life. I bought the book in the '80s at the height of the Color Me Beautiful craze and now I like it to get new ideas for putting colors together for crocheted afghans.

I have been using this book forever, and actually
need a new copy. Mine is warped from being dropped
in the bathtub, while reading, etc. etc.

It is a great book, my only advice for a next edition would be
to put all the "right" color combinations in one place; and all
the "wrong" ones in another place. Otherwise, you have to read
the print to see if they are good or bad combinations.

Still, it has helped me emmensely over the years.
