Signature fighting moves like Shrek’s "Fume of Dume," Donkey’s "Dronkey Summon," and Puss-in-Boots’ "Cute Kitty Attack" bring variety and personality to the handheld platform. Up to four players can crumble walls and use a multitude of weapons, potions, and magical items in destructible arenas like Gepetto’s Workshop and Dragon’s castle for endless melee action.

• Play the whole motley crew: Gamers play as 1 of 10 (Nintendo Game Boy Advance) or one of 12 (Nintendo DS) fantastical characters from the movie including heroes like Shrek, Donkey, Puss-in-Boots, and Princess Fiona and villains like Prince Charming, Lil’ Witch, and many more. Well-known characters, and some all-new characters, make for endless combinations of multiplayer action.

• Pummel your friends: Up to four players can slam it out in multiplayer, free-for-all melee combat. Nintendo DS features wireless multiplayer while the Nintendo Game Boy Advance version supports both the link cable and wireless adapter.
• Hocus Pocus: characters can pick up more than 25 different weapons, potions, and magical items throughout the game such as the plunger crossbow, the lightning hammer, and shrink potion.

At first the gameplay is nice, but it soon gets boring and reptitive. the cutscene graphics suck!!!! for me, the game's only saving graces are the characters and the tag mode.

I love this game I have both version's GBA and DS of this game why? Because you need both if you want the bonus stuff off of each game basically they both work as one to get extra material off of each game so if you want the bonus character's on the ds then you have to get the gba version to do it. Neatless to say it's quite an interesting game and the graphic's are just as good as the ds if not even better. Don't listen to the other reviewer's on them cutting down this game it's a really good game and ton's of fun for people who like shrek and shrek game's in general. DS or GBA version all shrek game's are pretty good I've never found one I didn't like yet. So buy this game you'll really enjoy it hey I know I do and I'm 21 and still play shrek game's including this one. Oh p.s. the level's are very interesting in this game if you've ever played DBZ it's sort of like that with the fighting only instead shrek style.

This game has levels that you do the same thing all over. The challanging mode is not great. The only thing that is great is the characters. I cannot wait to check out the PC version
