Mishaps and Mayhem!, May 22, 2007
This review is from: Shrek the Third: Royally Wrong (Paperback)
"Shrek awoke to a beautiful morning in Far Far Away. But his sweet mood soon turned sour when Shrek remembered that he and Fiona were filling in for the sick Frog King." -- From the book
I haven't yet seen Shrek the Third, but my family and I are eagerly anticipating watching it in the theater this weekend!
Having said that, Royally Wrong, which is based on the movie, is a full-color glossy book about the mishaps that Shrek and Fiona experience (er, cause) when they take over King Harold's duties (such as reading a story to--and scaring the crap out of--the class at Ye Olde Lady of the Shoe).
They get all gussied up for a Royal Party--Shrek gets his toenails filed down and Fiona gets her nose hairs plucked--but nothing goes as planned.
Royally Wrong features hilarious pictures and an amusing plot, which will no doubt interest young readers and fans of the movie. My son loves it--and has two other Shrek the Third books.
While this book doesn't say which ages it's geared towards, I'd say that kids 7 and up could read it with some help--and younger kids would be thrilled to have it read to them at bedtime (or any time!)
