Game is really cute and fun. Easy & Medium level games. You will need to play in Storymode to unlock all the games and videos. There are approx 24 fairytale mini-games, which are totally addicting little games. After you unlock 24 games, you get an additional 4 games (there should be 28 mini games). The games are really easy, but not easy enough to get bored (there is hardly any reading involved - except just a quick note before each mini-game, explaining what you will need to do to win - the games are self explanitory). They are totally fun and this game will become a family classic (even my husband, who's a non gamer, loves this game-- my 5 year old showed him how to play it, now he wont put the game down). There are a lot of toss and throw games (the types of games that you would play at the real carnival or TownFair/StateFair, to win a big stuffed animal). Also, there are a lot of racing games too. My 5 year old and I both love this game. We have a hard time, putting down the DS once we start playing this game. A great way, just to pass time. Super awesome for kids between the ages of 5-12, if they like the carnival or fairytales (PS. We have not even seen a Shrek Movie yet, we bought the game because we wanted a ton of mini games, and the fairytales scene was a plus). Also, I wanted to point out that the visual are very nice and colorful, graphics are fun and vivid. Great Graphics, very entertaining. If you are a parent who is not big into video games, I'm sure you would like this game too.

This is my review on Shrek: Carnival Craze party games for the Nintendo DS.

I really like Shrek & I love carnival's so this game is perfect for me plus it's set in the mideval times era which is another thing that draw's me to shrek. The game is challenging but fun normally I hate games that are all mini games but Shrek has a storyline plus mini games (That are interesting) plus extra stuff too.

The Storyline is awesome with great graphic's & no reading involved the characters talk instead of reading what there saying which really draw's me more so into the game as well.

As far as rating this game overall I give it 4 out of 5 star's only because when you open the instruction booklet it's very bleak each page white with word's no pictures at all in the manual except for the front cover. That's the only thing that dissappointed me about this game.

As far as the actual game it's self goes I give 5 out 5 stars on because of excellent graphic's, great gameplay, & a superb storyline.

This game is fun when you first get it. Lots of cute carnival games. Some of them are a little challenging. As you win the games more games are unlocked but after you win them all there is nothing more to do but start again. You can go in and just choose your favorite games to play. Not a game we play every day.

This is a very fun game to play overall. It is a big boredom reliever for kids. There are tons of mini-games to play, which are great when you don't want to play in story mode. The games are relatively simple, and very interactive. None of the games have complex rules that would confuse young kids or non-gamers. The games are fun enough to be played over and over with no problem of boredom. The graphics are not amazing, but they do the job.

I'm not sure why some games are locked. I had to play in story mode to unlock them which I did not like. These games are very good for young children or those who are not hard core gamers.

Overall, I enjoy this set of games. They are perfect for anytime you just want to relax with a simple game. There are a lot of games to choose from and they are all fun.

My neices, nephews and kids all love this game so much they fight over the DS whereas before they didn't care much for it. I have a hard time playing it myself but they love it and are much better at flinging frogs and apples. The 7 year old was a little more into it especially when more games were unlocked as the levels continued. It has both a story mode and quick mode. I don't care for the stories.

My kids and myself love this game. They have so much fun playing this game and it challenges them as well.

I want my money back! The 4yr old said "boring". The 8 yr old said "stupid". So I tried the game. They were both right. The "games" (if you can call them that) are not fun. This appears to have been "thrown together" to garner more $$$ off the Shrek craze. It may be good marketing strategy, but we are 3 very unhappy customers.
