5.0 out of 5 stars Great ghost story for any age, July 29, 2008
The Shrieking Stones is the first book in a new series of children's horror books (a la Goosebumps) and is suitable for children 8 and up. Not only suitable: enjoyable, pacey, and just scary enough. In fact, even adults can read it.

The Fright Night series follows the adventures of twins Adam and Lana as they accompany their Uncle Larry during filming of an unsuccessful ghost-chasing TV show. But the problem isn't the lack of things that go bump in the night. Maybe they're just camera shy? Adam and Lana follow in the fine tradition of Mulder and Scully as one is ready to let his imagination run away with him, and the other is firmly rooted in the natural - not supernatural - world. But Lana is about to become a believer as the pair become the first haunted members of the Fright Night crew.

Grab a copy of this book for any kids you know. Even grown-up ones. But maybe leave a night light on.
