Jerry Jackson was a singer with a decent voice whose recording career was killed by the failure of his producers & record company to find a sound that suited him. shuffled from producer to producer who each tried different sounds, he never established a buying audience. when the right song arrived (wide awake in a dream) he was pretty good. i bought this cd for that track. however the rest is a mixed bag, which is hard to describe. this is a cd which you should listen to before buying. as a bear family production it meets the usual high standards of research & sound quality. i can't recommend it for anybody who is not a fan or a collector who really wants the tracks.
