Shulamith is the perfect follow up to Give You The Ghost. Electronic, sometimes dance-driven R&B is Poliça's specialty, and with their second record, they flex a greater confidence and tighter songwriting. Even when the sounds feel processed and digital, you can still hear the humanity and heart behind it-- even more vividly than their debut record.

I saw this band in Athens GA when they were on tour after putting out their 2012 album Give you the Ghost (also great) and was really blown away by how different and how excellent their music is. Channey Leaneagh's vocals on this album are so beautiful and basically all the songs on this album are great.

I enjoyed Polica's first album "Give you the ghost" much better, especially Dark Star. Shulamith was a bit of a disappointment. I like the groups echo/techno sound, but some of the melodies aren't as appealing on their second album. But this is a group to notice, & I am looking (listening) forward to their next album.

If you bought the first album, you will love this one. The vocals, synth, bass and drums are more reigned in, and polished, giving the album a slicker feel, opposite the raw feeling of the first album. This album is just as enjoyable, even more so.

I expected their second album to be as good as their first but I was disappointed. The songs on this album sound a lot alike in my opinion and they're a little boring.

What a great album! Poliça's sound is so alluring! The smooth vocals, the strong bass lines, the drums, and the electronics make a great bridge between the world of electronics and raw humanity.

My new favorite. I can't get enough!! The tracks 'I need $' and 'So Leave' ... Crank it up to eleven. Her voice is so smooth, she reminds me of Sade. The beats are great. Buy this.
