I love the shur-line pro-edger and it's refill pads. I love the retractable wheels and how light it is. It takes a little patience and a light hand but the results are unsurpassed by anything I've ever seen before. These refill pads have performed better than the pad that came with the edger! I highly recommend it for uneven surfaces like triming textured ceilings or walls.

Pretty good product...but you need to check one thing before you use them,

I've been carrying out a major home painting job recently...all ceilings, and multiple rooms, and I'm not done yet.
I don't know about you, but one of the biggest challenges to interior painting is getting clean edges between walls and ceilings, between accent walls and other walls, etc. I've tried a bunch of different things, but for wall-ceiling edges and corners where different colors meet, the Shur-Line edger works as well as anything, but it's not perfect. These refills work just fine, but before you snap one of these replacement brushes in place on the edger make sure that it is bowed slightly inward. If it is bowed outward away from the edger tool the brush pad tends to slide off into the paint or onto the wall or onto the floor...I've had all of these happen. The reason the brush pad needs to be bowed inward toward the edger is that the pad is held in place along the edge away from the rollers by two small tabs that stick up on the edger unit. They can't stick up too far though, or they would interfere with the brush pad. You can easily bend the brush pad and create a bow in the brush pad inward toward the edger, and viola, the problem is solved. If I had one complaint about this system it's that the brush pad cannot hold much paint at a time. OK, I have one other complaint...it's that sometimes the nap on the brush pad can be too long and deposit too much paint by the edger wheels, making a big mess. You have to be patient and use a light touch to make this brush work well. On one pad the nap was too long by the wheels, so I used sewing scissors to snip some of the nap off of the edge of the pad, and it worked fine. It's OK to experiment a little. All in all a good product that works well when you do not have to paint along baseboard or crown molding. 4 stars.

I am in love with the Shur-line Pro paint edger. It gives me nice straight lines. The refill pack gets 5 stars from me because you can do at least two rooms with it for a nominal price. I have had good luck washing and reusing pads for small jobs and have also stored them in ziplock bags overnight and kept right on painting. I think this system provides tremendous value. I would not paint a room without it.
