Well made and easy to set the combo to my choice. Fast shipping at a great price for these combo boxes. Nice to use for REO properties for Real Estate professionals. Would recommend.

Arrived quickly. No problem with order. Feels well made. Operates smoothly and easy to set combination.

I bought this so people could get into my house. The light isn't great by my door. It was advertised as being easy to open, even in the dark. I found that I had to put my fingernail in the groove to get it to turn. Impossible in the dark, hanging from the doorknob! Not everyone has fingernails to turn the dials with. The seller was great. Item arrived when promised with priority shipping. Too bad it doesn't work and is on its way back. Thanks Amazon for making this return so easy.

We have a cleaning service come regularly but were hesitant to provide a key to our home since they often change workers. With this box we can provide the combination and the staff can use the key while there and put it back when done. Works great and setting the combination is very simple. Make sure to take 5 minutes to read the instructions.

I bought 5 of these in September 2010. Two of them have failed. The first was used on a home for several months, the code working for dozens of showings. Then, suddenly, the lockbox would not open and I had to use a hacksaw to release the shackle and open the chamber to retrieve the keys. The second one failed during testing of the shackle after adjusting the code. The shackle opened once. Close it to retest. Won't open. I contacted ShurLock via e-mail. ShurLok's response: 2 million sold in 10 years ... not possible. Send them in (which requires a fortune for shipping) and we will reset them to 0000. Well 40% of my ShurLoks have failed ... so far! ... and needless to say I don't have the one I sawed into bits and I am not confident that resetting the other failed one is going to solve the problem. Piece of junk. Find another make/product of lockbox.

I'm not sure if I received a defective product, but when initially setting up the new security code, the part you turn to set the combo jammed and broke. I was rather irritated, as the lock box didn't hold up for even one use. Disappointed, I sent the lock box back for a refund and ordered the Master Lock.

The box did not come with any instructions, however the Shurlock website has a video tutorial on how to set up the lock.

I bought this for our vacation house we were renting out and we had kept the key in one of these, for easy access for any guests.A house burglar broke it open with ease by the looks of it. got the key out and walked right into the house and stole $4,000 worth of stuff. Maybe we just had a defective one but it did not protect our property

I purchased this to hide an extra key on my Ford Excape, but the lock is to small to hold the larger Auto keys. It will work fine for a house key.

I use this lock box for one weekend a year to afford access into a national park for a group. It's easy enough for everyone to use, simplifies having to hide a key which can be lost or taken. And a four digit code is simple enough for people to remember. The added feature of being able to use a separate code for the actual padlock mechanism works well, as I'm able to lock the box to the chain which secures the gate and the access key to the gate lock is only available to those with the code. And, honestly, the price was right for the limited use.

Overall, I'm pleased with this product.

this does exactly what is says it is going to. it hooks to my doorknob and keeps my spare key safe. being the wife and mother of a busy family, i have been locked out countless times. each of those times has improved my ability to break into my own home quickly, effectively and with as little damage to person or property as possible. I can put these skills to bed now that i will never again be locked out!
