Product Description

From the Manufacturer

The new M25C phono cartridge is a fundamental, mix/spin needle capable of delivering high output, solid bass, and transparent midrange performance for virtually any DJ application. Designed using the same Type I cantilever technology utilized by Shure's 35 Series, the M25C offers high-definition sound reproduction at all audible frequencies, and tracks with a force of 1.5 to 3 grams to provide high skip resistance while keeping record wear at a bare minimum. This latest addition to Shure's premium line of DJ cartridges maintains an essentially flat frequency response from 20 to 20,000 Hz. Backed by a full one-year warranty, accessories offered with each unit include an extra set of four headshell wires, a stylus cleaning brush, user's guide, all mounting hardware, and a stylus guard. The N78S replacement needle is also available to facilitate mid-grooved and 78 rpm recordings.

4.0 out of 5 stars Amazing for the price!, February 18, 2008

This review is from: Shure M25C Turntable Cartridge (Electronics)
To be completely honest I did not expect the kind of sound that this cartridge was able to produce. I bought an SL-1200 MK5 and the store I bought it at did not have the cartridge I wanted, the M97xE. I decided to get this cartridge to hold me over until the one I want comes in as I was anxious to listen to my albums. This cartridge as I understand is more for DJ applications than audiophile. The M25C tracks beautifully even on damaged vinyl. The only reason I did not give 5 stars is due to the fact it uses a conical stylus instead of a Diamond tip elliptical which means it is not the best choice to preserve vinyl as it cause more wear. Lot of bang for the buck!
