Product Description

Got a new Nano? Got the latest Sony PSP? Completely immerse yourself in the game or in your music with the perfect earphones for your PSP. The Shure E2g lets you test your limits with the same award winning sound and design used in the E Series line. The E2g Sound Isolating(tm) Earphones with Dynamic MicroDriver technology deliver rich, full-range audio while blocking outside noise. Compact and stylish, they are the perfect audio upgrade to the earbuds supplied with most portable gaming devices. The E2g comes with a selection of interchangeable sleeves, as well as a zippered carrying case. The E2g is styled in black to match the most popular gaming devices. Shure makes audio equipment - microphones, earphones, mixers, etc. that are used by professional musicians the world over. Shure knows sound. If your sound is important to you, you want earphones engineered with the same kind of technology that your favorite divas and bands use to be sure they can hear themselves during a performance. That's Shure's "Sound Isolating" technology. Rather than introducing external elements to block out ambient sound (as noise cancelling earphones do), the Shure system creates a sealed environment that keeps noise out, without covering it up by injecting noise-cancelling artifacts that can interfere with your gaming or your music. You'll hear details you never heard before.

5.0 out of 5 stars Killer sound quality, you won't be disappointed!!, January 20, 2006

This review is from: Shure E2g Gaming Edition Sound Isolating Earphones for Portable Gaming Devices (Electronics)
The Shure the E2G's are were designed for use with portable video game devices like the Sony PSP. The audio clarity and response from these tiny earphones is fantastic! Listening to digital sound using the E2Gs is great because the sound quality is fast, balanced, and accurate. I could actually pick out background sounds that I never noticed using other headphones - it's almost like having surround sound headphones on. I must warn you that although the mid-range frequencies are solid, and high frequency is good as well, the bass falls short and may be too soft for some users.

The sound isolation feature works pretty well. These earphones block out external noise (like people's voices, which noise-cancelling headphones are not designed for) allowing you to hear audio from your PSP more clearly. This feature also helps me to save battery life because I can keep the volume level lower than with regular headphones.

Overall, the E2G's deliver superb sound quality. Just a warning, you might be shocked at the $100 price tag...I know I was. But after using these for a few weeks I can't live without them!

5.0 out of 5 stars Best sound for the money - best comfort, January 9, 2007

This review is from: Shure E2g Gaming Edition Sound Isolating Earphones for Portable Gaming Devices (Electronics)
I've been looking for a pair of headphones like this for years. I've used these for 8 months now and wear them almost everyday. I ride a motorcycle everyday and I never leave without these. First, the comfort is exceptional. Even with my helmet on, I never get uncomfortable with these in my ears. I've ridden 400 miles at a time without any problems. Even when I need a break from the music, I leave these in because they do such a great job of blocking wind and bike noise. I've used several other brands of canal earphones and none have been comfortable - tolerable at best, but most are painful with a helmet on. The "bulb" you see in the picture rests in the crook of your ear, so there is nothing extending past your ear to get crammed in deep. Second, the sound quality is fantastic. Great bass, mids, and highs. I've heard things in my music I never knew was there and I can't wait to listen more. I can't recommend these enough. I've bought a pair for my brother and may have to buy a pair for my wife because she keeps taking mine.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great earphones!, March 22, 2006
This review is from: Shure E2g Gaming Edition Sound Isolating Earphones for Portable Gaming Devices (Electronics)
These sound-isolating headphones are tremendously useful. I use them each morning when I jog, and they are very comfortable and the sound quality is very clear. Furthermore, I also use these when I travel, and they substantially equivalent to the Bose noise-cancelling headphones, but take up so much room. While these dont perfectly cancel out everything like the Bose, the benefit of these being so much smaller far outweighs it.

Would buy it again.
