5.0 out of 5 stars Fantastic upgrade for E2c Headsets
Like the previous reviewer I appreciated the isolation of my E2c's foam pads but found them far too prone to collecting ear wax. Unfortunately, the original plastic sleeves were uncomfortable and didn't provide isolation close to that of the foam pads.

1.0 out of 5 stars Don't Trust Amazon on this One
Don't trust Amazon or the vendor "DealsMania" on this one. Supposedly 'In Stock" I ordered this two weeks ago. Estimated delivery dates have come and gone and no deliver and and no word from the vendor or Amazon. Beware - don't expect product if you order from these guys!!!

This review is from: Shure EA506A Soft Flex Replacement Sleeves (Black) Variety Pack for Shure E2c, E2c-n, E2g, I2c and QuietSpot Headsets (Electronics)
Like the previous reviewer I appreciated the isolation of my E2c's foam pads but found them far too prone to collecting ear wax. Unfortunately, the original plastic sleeves were uncomfortable and didn't provide isolation close to that of the foam pads.

These replacement sleeves, however, are a godsend. They are comfortable and isolate you from surrounding noise remarkably well. I use them on the train to work every day. With my original iPhone earbuds, I had to turn the volume up to 3/4 or higher to hear sufficiently well. With these sleeves and the E2cs I never have to go above half the maximum volume. I also prefer the isolation and sound quality of my E2c's with these sleeves over that of the active noise reduction headphones I also tested. I strongly suggest buying the variety pack first to test for size as proper fit has a big effect on isolation.

I purchased this variety pack for my wife, who uses a set of E2c's with her iPod. She somehow managed to lose one of her sleeves, and meanwhile - over the course of a change in residence - we had lost track of the set of sleeves that came with the earphones. Enter Amazon - I had to take a guess as to which ones she was using, so I eneded up betting on the variety pack. Fortunately, one pair of this set was the right one. My guess is that this is the same set of sleeves that was included with the E2c's.

I just wish they were a little cheaper.

5.0 out of 5 stars If you are still using those white sleeves on your E2s, you don't know what you are missing, August 9, 2008

I have had my E2 headphones for years and the white hard rubber sleeves seemed reasonably comfortable but on long flights my ears would start to hurt.
These new soft rubber sleeves are far more comfortable and long flights no longer an issue. They also seem to work better to exclude external sound. I should have bought them a long time ago my headphones are now better than new!

5.0 out of 5 stars Great Sleeves, December 14, 2006
This review is from: Shure EA506A Soft Flex Replacement Sleeves (Black) Variety Pack for Shure E2c, E2c-n, E2g, I2c and QuietSpot Headsets (Electronics)
Like a previous reviewer I purchased a set Shure e2c's that only came with those hard rubber flex sleeves and foam sleeves. The flex sleeves hurt my ears and would almost give me a headache every time I used them. The foam sleeves gave me a great and comfortable fit, but they were so hard to keep clean and needed to be replaced too often. I ordered these soft flex sleeves and I was shocked from the moment I put them on at how comfortable they were. They actually feel better than the foams and give me excellent sound isolation. I would almost swear that since using these sleeves that the earphones sound better and I get better bass. It may be that I am getting better isolation or it may be my imagination...either way I am still very happy with these sleeves.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great Addition to E2C, December 7, 2006

Unfortunately my e2c's didn't include these, only including the normal hard rubber and foam attachments.

I was having problems with my e2c's hurting my ears, and these have been the best thing for them. Unfortunately Amazon wasn't selling this at the time I purchased mine, so I had to pay more and buy them through Shure. If you have Prime and a pair of matching shure in-ear monitors, you'll be a much happier person in 2 days.
