I was traveling to the Netherlands to visit a friend and looked on Amazon for something unique that they couldn't find over there or at least US original, when these blocks came up during the search.
I ordered the blocks and took them with me to Holland. What a success! The product is amazing, incredibly smart and the book is fantastic. My friend's kids really like them and gave me thanks for the present a thousand times. When I came back I ordered a set for my kids and got the same reaction. I highly recommend these blocks for anyone looking for a memorable Christmas or special occasion present; or why not, just for the pleasure to give something valuable, educational, cool and incredible fun for adults and kids alike.

I bought this toy for my son who is 5 and he found the pictures on the blocks really interesting as well as the different shapes available beyond rectangle and square. The hard cover book offers many ideas and some history on the types of buildings and materials that would have been used in the past. Very educational toy.

I saw these blocks at a local bookstore and decided to purchase them because I thought they were neat. When I arrived home and gave it to my kids I not only discover it was an amazing product with excellent quality but my best toy purchased ever! If you are looking for an intelligent toy, please do yourself and your kids a favor and buy one. Here in Amazon they have lots of models, Shure - Rome 68 Pieces I'm considering buying the Rome as well. My kids truly enjoy building with them, the book is incredibly detailed and educational and the blocks had beautiful illustrations. The only complain is that the lacquer in some of the blocks wasn't spread even (they are Ok, only some bubbles in a few pieces) but that is completely unimportant compare to the great educational value and fun this toy has been for the whole family.

The manufacturer describes these blocks as "open-ended, creative and intelligent building system" and I cannot agree more. This is a fantastic set of blocks that includes designs of China's architecture, Byzantium, Rome. Like: Dragons, Czars and Arches. It's a fantastic product and the quality is superb. The companion book that is included in the set is highly educational and a treasure. This product is very original and there is nothing like it in the market. Great Product!
