I used it to protect guitar neck/fingerboard while sanding/filing the frets.

It does what it should do, easy to stick, easy to remove.

I'm a party decorator and was looking for a white masking tape that would temporarily tape light paper decorations to the wall/ceiling without damaging the paintwork. I usually use Scotch Masking Tape and that works great but this time I needed something white. Anyway, I tested it by taping up a hanging foil swirl (very lightweight) to the ceiling. Unfortunately, it fell down within a few hours, so not suitable for this purpose. Still looking for a white masking tape as good as the Scotch beige one...!

As a biologist who needs to label many, many tubes, masking tape is a must. As a Flyers fan, I prefer to use orange masking tape. Not only does the color pop, making the tubes much easier to identify as mine, but the color drives some of my lab mates nuts (they are most definitely NOT Flyers fans). This masking tape is the best that I've used. It sticks very well, and when you use a permanent marker to label it, the ink does not run, unlike other brands I've used. It is also easily removable from every surface I've stuck it on and doesn't leave any sticky residue, which is nice. I love this product and have runs through heaps of it already.

I live in a rental and saw this idea on a home decorator blog. I wanted to do something with the drab entryway in my house, and saw this great idea on the blog, Apartment Therapy. I had no idea masking tape came in different colors and I love orange. I created striping right on my entryway and it created a beautiful accent. You can't tell it's masking tape unless you look closely. The great thing is, it comes right off so if masking tape would be produced in the "hot" color of the season, I could change my look for a couple of buck and very minimal labor!

I bought this 2x60 black masking tape to tape over lights of a sportbike-type motorcycle for track events. Once I removed waxes and residues from the surfaces, it stuck reasonably well. I covered the headlight and taillight and went 140 mph without losing any tape (It doesn't stick well to textured, molded plastic...but I expect nothing of this type will.) I peeled it off a week later with no residue. I would buy it again for this purpose.

I've gotten two rolls of this 'masking' tape. I spent extra for 'masking' tape because 'masking' tape is supposed to be stronger than scotch tape. This tape doesn't stick to anything, not even paper. Here's a list of what I've tried to use this tape for (all of which have failed.. miserably). Please note that some items I try to tape up are heavier than others, but still, some are light as feather.

This tape sucks. Don't buy it. If I could, I would embed a video of this tape failing.
