Crazy Techno, Great for Partying!,
By Chris Torrey (Peabody, MA) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Shut the Fuck Up and Dance (Audio CD)
If i were to have a party i would just put this album in my stereo and let it spin all night long, all the songs just slide right into the next with different beets, and lyrics one after another for 62 minutes.... The Best songs are "the launch" by DJ Jean, "you dont know me" by Armand Van Helden, "the funk return" by Subsonic, and "a DJ saved my life" by many different unknown DJ's.... if your a partier and you like clubbin buy this album you wont be disappionted..

First off, I don't know what the hell these people are talking about. This album is by far one of the best albums ever made. This album is a true 6 star album don't let anyone tell you otherwise. Now if you don't like House music or you don't like Techno in general then you WILL still like this album. But if you do decide that you don't want it then fine, miss out! That means the album won't get played out! But if you do decide to get it, then I promise you won't be sorry. P.S. Humpty Rules!

One of the dopest albums of the year...,

For all you people who loved House Connection 2 and anything from this guy in the early days, you are in for a treat. This mix is incredible - Richard throws down huge tracks that are peppered by solid and funky vocals... simply amazing, because of the time it takes him to mix two records together. Rich throws down a number of phat tracks that seamlessly blend to create a very intense, buzzing CD. Every song that graces the tables on this CD is tweaked to Humpty's perfection - the first half is hard, bangin' house like you would expect. The rest is a mix between hard and disco house, which makes a perfct finish for a perfect CD. Buy this one, you won't regret it.

ive seen rhv a couple of times since he started touring for this cd and each time it seemed as if though he hadnt gotten any new promos in.... the cd is alright nice to get you pumped if youre going out for a night of raving, but if you really want to sit down and listen, kind of gets annoying at the slams from song to song, i much prefer to hear some blended mixing that makes me wonder whoa, whered he pull that from... also kind of upsetting that because its a commercial release non of the bootlegs he plays out get put into this... ie, Everybodys better off free... that weird mix of the launch thats been played out and stuff like that

The Best one EVER!,
By Gilbert (near San Jose) - See all my reviews

I don't know what all the other people r talkin about. This is his best cd! B4 I never liked him cause he'd mix a lot of songs with gospel kinds of vocals. This one's cool though. It's more of a Dj Irene style. If you like Dj Irene's Global House Diva, You HAVE to get this one. Great selection of HARD HOUSE, this cd is his best! What's Up to every one @ Wild 949! Especially St. John : )

After Humpty went on MTV I thought his days of making phat house Lp's were over. I had thought I had lost my faith in him after he never showed up to a couple of parties he was supposed to spin at, but when I picked up this album my thoughts changed. I was really impressed with the new mix. Great beats to dance to all through the album. Oddly enough even an N.W.A D&B mix is thrown in there. If you are a house fan and have liked Humptys previous recordings, I think you will be a fan. Although alot of the tracks are very familiar and have appeared on his previous, his mixing ability is phenomenal. Good Job once again Humpty!

Best House Mix Ever,
By A Customer
This review is from: Shut the Fuck Up and Dance (Audio CD)
I just recently purchased this CD again, and after hearing it for the first time in a long time, I dont think I could have used my money in any better ways. If you like hard house, this is the cd for you. If you like disco house, this is the CD for you also. His quick, but smooth mixing never lets this CD get repetitive, and the groove factor is as high as it gets. The first half begins with a megamix style intro, and eventually peaks off into a Drum n Bass remix of Dopeman by N.W.A. Then its all gravy after that with some funky disco house. Its layed out perfect, with the higher BPM in the beginning, and the more chilled out BPM at the end. Just buy it, you'll be happy you did.

I saw Humpty live not too long ago and that experience prompted me to buy the CD. The more I listen to it, the more I like it. Some say the mix is just too fast and you don't get a feel for the song. I like it because it is more of a flavor cd rather than an all out continous mix. Humpty touches on a wide spectrum of techno sound. Just shut the F#@* and DANCE!
