Shut Off This Song,
By Amaranth "music fan" (Northern California) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Shut Up and Drive (MP3 Download)
Rihanna's "Shut up and drive" isn't even a guilty pleasure song. In it, Rihanna uses driving double entendres to get her man in bed. It sort of has a redeeming rhythm and a driving chorus... but it's not enough to be catchy. All you'll remember is "shut up and drive." At best, you'll remember some of the actual song; at worst, you'll forget it. It's a dull song, for Rihanna. You'll shut it off and drive.

A Pathetic Excuse For A Song,
By
This review is from: Shut Up and Drive (MP3 Download)
Now I really wanted to like this song, I mean it had a little bit of a rock vibe, a interesting chorus, however as much as this song tries, or doesn't try as the case is, this song doesn't even deserve the title of "song." The lyrics are paint-by-numbers, or even worse, insert a random word here, this word kinda fits here. As a songwriter, whoever wrote this garbage deserves to be hung and shot. It's so bad, it's painful. The chorus is just as bad as the verses, and the bridge is, again, torturous.Overall, somebody should be shot for this song. I vote the songwriter, but the producer could also get it, and even the public for dragging this wreak of a "song" to the top 15 on the charts. But wait, what's worse is how media outlets like ESPN had adopted this song as the official theme song for anything that has to do with the words "car" and "fast." Really people, music can't sink much lower... Oh wait, there's Sean Kingston. |
