The first Klezmatics CD is one of their best, June 14, 1999

Classic and eclectic Klezmatics have a winner in their first album. A mixture of true Yiddishkeit klezmer music (eg. "A Glezele Vayn"), along with other styles such as one of my all time favorites the dance waltz "Ershter Vals", "Dzhankoye" a rowdy melody from 1920s Soviet-era, and finally a Bavarian melody "Schneider" by a German oompah band. A great mix which is upbeat and hangs together real well. I loved this CD.
