5.0 out of 5 stars Nice laid back change of pace
Nice laid back change of pace. I give 7 tracks on here decent play.

This one of my favorite albums to drive too. I wish I had more of it.

4.0 out of 5 stars Nice Beats, some lyrics a bit immature but fun, December 11, 2008

I like this CD more than my husband. I like listening to it while driving. The lyrics are fun but sometimes immature, the beats are really good. They kind of remind me of a modern day Eazy-E. We have a convertible and it makes me want to drop the top and cruise around the beach...haha, just not too loudly, I am afraid of all the looks I will get if people around here all the references to smoking pot. Definitely a good choice if you want some "mellow" rap-type music.

5.0 out of 5 stars Old Shwayze & New Shwayze, December 8, 2008

Shwayze's album is one of the most unique albums out there right now. It's definitely a nice change in what's on the radio right now. I recommend this album to everyone!!

Also! If you like Shwayze, or music in general... you'll LOVE Shwayze's new songs on his Rich Girls Mixtape which is available for FREE here: http://www.mediafire.com/download.php?cyuzijmcnm3

it's a bit different than what's on the album, but it's still fantastic!
check it out!!

5.0 out of 5 stars GREAT ALBUM & ARTIST, October 15, 2008
This review is from: Shwayze (Audio CD)
This is a great album from a great artist. I highly recommend it. You won't be disappointed. Shwayze comes with a refreshing, laid back stoner style that's all original and all his own. I have let five people listen to this CD and EVERY ONE OF THEM went and bought it after one listen.
I'm a big rap fan, but I cannot tell you how tired I am of hearing every single rapper on the radio sounding like they are rapping the same stuff, from the same label, from the same producer, from the same studio, from the same ghostwriter, since most of them don't even write their own ish anymore. It's pathetic, they make most of these raps the same way they make cars: mass produced in a factory.
If you miss real rap, buy some Shwayze and find it again. It's a beautiful thing.

4.0 out of 5 stars Very interesting, October 10, 2008
This review is from: Shwayze (Audio CD)
This album is interesting. I love it, but I'm not sure why. The lyrics are raunchy, and at times degrading; they glamourise habits and lifestyles that I do not find appealing--but then, the catchy tunes and favourable rhyme schemes catch me. I find "Corona and Lime" to be the standout hit (also the cleanest song on the record), with the notably catchy "Polaroid" and "Lazy Susan" as strong follow-ups. The hooks work, and if you can get past the lyrics, you'll be hooked.

5.0 out of 5 stars Best CD to chill to..., August 27, 2008

This review is from: Shwayze (Audio CD)
When I say chill, I mean smoke a certain something. The music is so great, it flows so well, the lyrics are funny yet intellectual.
BUY IT! DO IT!

Cisco's voice is the icing on the cake.
:)
My favorite is "Buzzin", its, in my opinion, the chillest song.

BUY IT, seriously.

Ps. If you don't smoke anything, you'll still enjoy this cd, but its clear it was made for stoners!

I bought this album because I had heard the track Buzzin and was like I gotta have this. When I first started to listen to the album I was like this is gonna be very good. I felt this way through like the first 4 tracks or so and then I got very bored listening to this album. The content was all the same to me. There wasn't very much creativity at all. Some of the beats sounded very similar and just sounded like the production was pretty poor. I've listened to this album a few times now all the way through and it just sounds worse every time I listen to it. I guess this is the kind of lyrics you could expect from a couple guys from Malibu. I'm not trying to bash this album because it did have potential to be something great. I know other people might like it but I just can't ignore all the flaws. If anybodies looking for a really good album that mixes hip-hop, rap, rock, and just good vibes together I would recommend Hollywood Undead from LA. Their new album is called Swan Songs and the album is awesome from start to finish.
