3.0 out of 5 stars It's Okay
This 5th album by Gloria Trevi is very good, however I believe Mas Turbada Que Nunca had more flavor. This new album has more of a dark atmosphere and seems like it was recorded in a week! Very good songs, although not as sophisticated and crazy as in Mas Turbada Que Nunca. I recommend it if you really like her.

Gloria is one of the best artist ever to come out of Mexico and the truth is that if it hadn't been cause of the sex scandal she would still be a big hit! This album is good is...great!! and should be in any true fan's collection but for new comers to this incredible artist I recomend you chek previous releases where her energy is stronger. This album is good and I love to listen to its lyrics its got really good lyrics!!!

5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent as always!!!!, May 11, 2009

Gloria Trevi's 5th studio album is just as good as her first four although less sucessfull in sales. Must purchase for any Gloria Trevi fan. Only about 500 thousand copies total were made so it might be hard to find and probably very expensive but if you get the chance, get it. its a once in a lifetime opertunity and almost a rare collector's item.

here are reviews of the songs (by me)

1. El fin del mundo -dark, angry and extremly jelouse. a song about having the one you love dead before seeing him/her with another. great lyrics but music is synthetic and cold so needs some listens to warm up to i.

2. Si me llevas contigo-depressive and exausted. a song to God asking him to take her life away because she's too alone to bare it. my secon favorite track on the album

3. Colapso finaciero - humorouse yet angry. talks about not having any money and trying to make ends meet when "someone" has run off with your money.

4> Ella que nunca fue ella - depresive and inpirational. talks about the life of a woman never allowed to be herself and ends up dying in elderly home right after she decided to change her life. 3rd favorite of the album.

5. E curit, na nina y la loca - talk about LOVE. no sappy love, talk about defending the love you feel for someone even if society views it as wrong. epecially gay, girls giving their virginity etc. Great message behind song but needs a boost of energy.

6. Los perros tristes. - talks about the government. about how badly people have it on their evryday, dangerous, starving, flooding, gang filled, homeless lifes and yet the politicians say its not a big deal (while they have a great life). 4th favorite song on the album.

7. me estoy rompiendo en pedazos - a song about tearing one's self apart for the one we love. great melody, great lyrics but the voice sounds tired.

8. No, no quiero- an extremly energetic song about REFUSAL TO SOCITY'S FORCE ON WOMEN. Here she claims freedom from wearing a braw, getting married etc. She tell that men should do what they expect her to do and then she might consider it. Great track that diserves an aplause for bravery on speaking out agains "machismo" in society.

9. Lloran mis munecas - MY ALL TIME FAVORITE SONG ON THE ENTIRE ALBUM!!!! This is a song about suicide. about cutting your wrists to finally stop thinking about that person that is no longer there. (i don't cut my self or aprove of suicide but) this is a very poetic, dark, depressing, yet BEAUTIFUL way of expresing the sadness that will not go away. The song begins with sweet piano from a doll house or a music box (showing inocence that once was)and as the song progresses it turns into a dark rock with emotions only achivable by a great writter and singer like Gloria.

10. Sonado - as song about not knowing if you're living true life or dreaming you're living nighmare. slow yet compeling.

3.0 out of 5 stars "Si me llevas contigo" es la hermana gemela de "Que hago aqui"!!, October 2, 2007
This review is from: Si Me Llevas Contigo (Audio CD)

4.0 out of 5 stars I actually think it's great!, September 5, 2007

For years I had the "Rock Del Milenio" collection and didn't really warm to it, to say the least. Fast forward 7 years later - saw a clip of her doing "No, No Quiero" on her short-lived show "XETU Remix" -- WOW! -- I never knew she had that energy, that charm. Of course, I had to find the album with "No, No Quiero" on it. Unfortunately, that album, this one you're looking at now "Si Me Llevas Contigo...", is out of print! In fact, sadly it is the only full studio album by Trevi that has seen that fate. It's too bad, because even after hearing the amazing trilogy that makes up "Tu Angel De La Guarda", "Mi Siento Tan Sola" and "Mas Turbada Que Nunca", this album is just only slightly worse -- in other words, it's a killer album! Yes, Trevi and producer Andrade took a step back in sound for more of a 'homemade' feel, but songs like "Financial Collapse" and "Los Perros Tristes" are the better for it. As with all Trevi albums, this one is also equal measures rockin' and balladeerin', and her amazing unique pop voice is really pushed to the front on this one, which means you can hear her tremendous howls (and on 'Perros Tristes', her hilarious and scary imitation of a dog) more loud and more clear than ever! Right now there are four copies on this here site for just shy of $20. Soooooo worth it...
