Beautiful Sibelius,

Many of these songs were not originally written with an orchestral accompaniment in mind. But orchestra brings out new colors in these works, that I hadn't realized before when listening to them with piano accompaniment.Hynninen sings beautifully throughout, and is in my opinion at his best in these songs. He has a special kind of light high baritone voice, that doesn't always work well in opera, but in Sibelius it works fantastically. Understanding the language and the cultural background of these songs helps as well. Buy This!
