Each page of this calendar illustrates David Sibley's deep knowledge of and appreciation for the nature and beauty of birds. Unlike other merely "pretty" bird calendars, this one encourages you to study, observe and learn what makes each month's featured species unique and stunning. This calendar would be a great gift for any level of bird watcher.

It's a nice calendar, especially if you are a birder. The displayed cover seemed to imply that individual month drawings will be of the same artistic sort. However, the actual month drawings are plates of the kind you would see in a bird guide with display of male/female/juvenile birds as well as a distrubution map.
