5.0 out of 5 stars A great "Reid"!
I love Michelle Reid's work, and her latest addition was delightful. Natalia is very unhappy to learn that her boss has gone on an unexpected second honeymoon, leaving his brother-in-law in charge. Giancarlo is convinced that Natalia is having an affair with her boss, who is married to Giancarlo's only sister, and in true Sicilian fashion, promises vengance. Vengance...

3.0 out of 5 stars I agree with the reviewer who said...
..."this is a good Reid, but (definitely) not her best", not anywhere near her best! The intense passion between the H/H WAS way too rushed; it's sexy enough, but not believable at all. (I like a little realism even in a Harlequin!) I would only give this effort a grade C.

Not a keeper; not terrible, but it has a typical formula Harlequin plot with a H/H both...

5.0 out of 5 stars A great "Reid"!, May 2, 2001

This review is from: A Sicilian Seduction (Red Hot Revenge) (Harlequin Presents) (Paperback)
Vengance turns to seduction, and seduction to ... surprises! One of the features I liked most in this book was Reid's technique of weaving between Natalia's viewpoint and Giancarlo's viewpoint. The reader gets to see inside the man's head too - something few romance writers seem to allow. A good story and excellent writing!

4.0 out of 5 stars A good Reid..but not her best, September 8, 2003
This review is from: A Sicilian Seduction (Red Hot Revenge) (Harlequin Presents) (Paperback)
From the Back: Giancarlo Cardinale was determined to have his revenge. He thought Natalia Deyton had slept with his sister's husband. His passionate Sicilian nature demanded a vengeful seduction - and total surrender. But Giancarlo wasn't prepared for the innocence shining out of Natalia - or the sensual power of her stunning beauty. He knew he was falling in love for the first time - but family came first. He had no choice but to carry out his plan.
I enjoyed this book, but not as much as other Reids. I guess I did not like how it strayed from her typical format of separated couple, so that the story begins with some previous backstory. With no previous story between the two, I felt their intense passion was rather rushed.
It was still a great book. If possible, I would have given 4 1/2 stars.

Not a keeper; not terrible, but it has a typical formula Harlequin plot with a H/H both overwhelmingly attractive & attracted to each other...not at all what I expected from the author of "The Price of a Bride" (which was fantastic).

4.0 out of 5 stars sizzling chemistry, December 3, 2010
This review is from: A Sicilian Seduction (Hardcover)
Heroine has sizzling affair with domineering Sicilian Hero who thinks she's his brother-in-law's mistress. Hero's original plan was to fire her while he sent off his brother-in-law away for a 2nd honeymoon with his sister. Instead he changes his mind & plans on having an affair with her 1st & then fire her after he's done with her. His plans go awry as he becomes more enamored with her. Heroine has the same emotional pull but feels guilty about her secrets re: Hero's brother-in-law.

I liked this Reid book. The romance was good. The writing pulled me in emotionally. It was hard to put down & made it a very fast read. Sexual tension was electric & love scenes hot. My only negative is that Hero should've been made to grovel more. He did apologize & his way of doing it was in character but I still wish he ate some more humble pie.

Recommended.
