Look, David T. Chastain is my favorite guitar player of all time. I've been listening to him since I found Mystery of Illusion in some "indy" bin at the record store and thought the cover looked cool. I was a little disappointed with this record. Sorry to say that Kate French does not have the same vocal "force" of Leather Leone and the music seems to be a little more "noisier", the rhythyms and riffs seem to be missing. Dave's solos are top notch but overall I wasn't impressed with the songs. Since Voice of the Cult is now in re-issue I would check that one out or get an import CD of 7th of Never, they really highlight Leather's vocal ability and Dave's ability to write real blistering songs that have long term playability. Sadly Ruler of the Wasteland and Mystery of Illusion are not available ANYWHERE.

This music rocks. Excellent songwriting and production brings forth a metal classic. The song "angel falls" is worth the price alone. David Chastain is probably one of the most underated musician's and songwriters of all time.

Is not the better disc of Chastain, but the most notable is the great work of the singer kate chastain, go for more.
