The Sid Series:, November 5, 2009
I am Jonathan's daughter and the illustrator for many of the stories in this book. These stories are great for young kids! They are fun and teach wonderful life lessons. Many show what a big adventure life can be and others teach what even young children can do to influence the world for good. One story, my personal favorite, shows how a young boy copes with the death of a beloved pet. Yvonne has a way of communicating deep concepts in ways young children can understand. Reading this book was a great experience.

Wonderful Life Lessons, November 17, 2009
As parents we all know what it's like to see our children's imaginations run wild with creativity and curiosity. Sometimes they can amaze us and catch us off guard with their innocent, yet insightful questions. I am the real Sid's mother, and raising him has been a learning experience and a pleasure. I am so grateful that Yvonne could document all the things that he would have otherwise forgotten with age. In the Sid Series we see how Sid used his imagination to make a potion for our dog's wounded leg, and it worked! He knew it would, more importantly he believed it would. We see him learn the great thing about being himself and how to overcome being afraid. These are great lessons for all children and parents too! This is a fantastic book to include in any library at home or school.

Holy and Whole Children's Stories, November 17, 2009
Yvonne Perry never ceases to amaze me at the range of her professional and creative writing. These 12 stories reflect her love of life, language, and the realms beyond what we usually see.
The stories aim to connect with the holiness inside the child to grow it into greater wholeness. The acceptance and affection embraced in these stories and illustrations are a joy to see.
