The download worked fine, but the key code Amazon gave me was not valid. I contacted Aspyr support, they gave me another code, still did not work. The support people had me try a bunch of different things, nothing worked. I was forced to uninstall the game and get a refund. Bottom line, the Aspyr software is horrible. Don't waste your time.

Civ 3 is my FAVORITE of the whole Civ franchise so I decided to get it in digital form so I didn't have to deal with carrying the disk. I had *planned* to spend a lazy Sunday afternoon taking over the world and now I can't.

Download was fast enough but once I went to enter my product code, I got a "code is not valid" message. Did a restart, still not valid. Yes it is case sensitive and yes I am smart enough to enter it exactly the way it was received.
Hit the button for customer support and you are directed to Game Agent on digital river's store where they demand your order number + password in order to get ANY support at all, or you can put in your email + the last 4 digits of your credit card... but neither one work for me because I bought this through Amazon and I can't get through. Digital River is the authorized reseller for Aspyr and almost anything you want to do on their website requires "look up your order" and a password. Who knows when they will get back to me on this?
Click on support and you can see answers to FAQ's, but nothing that solves this problem.

I went to Aspyr website and searched the technical knowledge base, but nothing there to help either. Technical service is closed.

Because the product code that was provided by Amazon does not work, the only way to get a valid product code is to deal with Digital River (which I don't have access to)
What a waste of my day!

A site named GameAgent.com profiled my recent Macbook Air, and asserted that this specific title would run on my computer. The site provided a specific link to Amazon here. Purchased, downloaded and installed the product per instructions.

Two hours later, no results whatsoever.

Click on the app, nothing happens at all -- no error message, nada.

I want my money back for a non-functional product.

Loved playing Civ. III on my old PC when it first came out in 2001. Was excited about this download since Civ. IV and V have been a disappointment to me. Read the many reviews on Amazon indicating that people have had problems with keys and/or getting the game to run on their Mac. Went to GameAgent.com to use "Mac Match" to ensure that the game would run on my mini (10.7.5, Intel Core i5, 2 cores, 2.3GHz, 4GB Memory, 500 GB HD, Intel Graphics 3000 384 MB). Not a powerful computer by any means, but was thrilled to see all the green check marks and the exuberant report: "Will Run! Awesome! This game will definitely run on your Mac mini." Nope. Despite three successive installs, I didn't even get to find out if my key works. More like "Civ. III Complete Waste of $$$." I actually downloaded it from GameAgent.com, but doubt purchasing from Amazon would have made a difference. Caveat emptor. I guess my plans for global domination will have to wait until I find an old PC and dig out my original software.
