Book Description

Far Side 2004 Calendars July 1, 2003
Our nation grants its citizens certain unalienable rights--among them life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. Ever notice how your job seems to interfere with all three of these? It could be argued, in fact, that work is downright unconstitutional. So, what can you do about it? You could take up a picket sign and demand your right to slack...but all that yelling can be tough on the throat. You could quit in a huff of righteous indignation...but you've likely developed expensive habits like eating and sleeping indoors. Take heart, weary worker! Gary Larson--a true American hero--has ridden to the rescue. For the past two decades, Larson has toiled in the humor mines to bring forth shiny cartoon gems universally known as The Far Side. Lots and lots of these cartoons found humor in the absurdities of the workplace, and now we've gathered the very best of these work-related cartoons in a desk-friendly weekly calendar. So now you can work and pursue happiness at the same time. How can we ever thank him for his years of selfless cartooning? Supreme Court Justice Larson has a nice ring to it, don't you think?

3.0 out of 5 stars Far Side Review, October 13, 2003

Don't get fooled like I did, this is not a day by day stand-up desk calendar as in the past. This is a book that has 1 page per week and not the usual stand-up desk calendar as was expected.

5.0 out of 5 stars Increadebly funny, especcially if you work at an office., December 16, 2003
This review is from: The Far Side Out To Lunch 2004 Desk Calendar (Calendar)
This collection has a Far Side comic strip by the infamous Gary Larson in each week in a calendar, so theres around 52 strips, all in color. Most of the jokes here are work jokes or animal jokes and somewhat inbetween. The jokes in it are histeracly funny and you will enjoy everybit of this calendar, which to say is nice and has enough space to put notes and a telephone area on the last page (just so you know that its just not the strips your getting here). Highly recomended for Far Side fans (and dont forget the two book complete collection!)

Since the FarSide isnt in newspapers anymore this is a great way to enjoy Larson's humor. Always great, always funny. A nice way to get through the day.
