A generous, world-ranging collection of recipes for "sides", from raita to green mango chutney to "artery-clogging" mashed potatoes; including salads, relishes, and snacks ... Many are quick to put together from a short list of simple ingredients. We've enjoyed cooking from this one, it's a keeper!

I have another cookbook by this author - "The Black Family Reunion Cookbook" - that has been worn down from frequent use, so I thought this would be another great book. This book provides a lot of history on ingredients and food, but the recipes themselves did not interest me. Maybe I was just expecting a whole lot more given the author and my experience with her other...

I have another cookbook by this author - "The Black Family Reunion Cookbook" - that has been worn down from frequent use, so I thought this would be another great book. This book provides a lot of history on ingredients and food, but the recipes themselves did not interest me.
