This is a very musical album from a very gifted Pacific Northwest artist. A staple of the Seattle music scene - LeRoy Bell's latest indie cd is all over the map stylistically mixing hints of rock, jazz and pop--but always kept Individual by this artist's unique vocal line. A far cry from Bell's initial r n b stylings for Herb Alpert and Jerry Moss' A&M record label when Boogying with partner James gave him his first chart hit --Bell is now a solo act whose work conjures up memories of the great analog sounds of balladeers Cat Stevens, Murray Head, Shawn Phillips, Richie Havens with a bit of mid career Seal thrown in for good measure. Bell rocks (Voodoo), lectures (Father to Son), loves (You Lied to Me), Beachboys (21rst Century Man), and pleas and begs in Universal Speak (Dream of Peace). Support musicians include the best on the Seattle musical scene: jazz, rock and classical mavens all. Try this one and support vibrant songwriting, playing, vocals and production. You could like it.

LeRoy Bell is one of the very few artist who can translate their music from CD to stage or vice versa effortlessly. He has such a real, raw voice that will sooth and rock you. On his new CD, TWO SIDES TO EVERY STORY, he incorperates great songwriting with catchy vocals that will keep you listening through all 14 tracks! This is a must own for any fan of real music and real artistry. Some highlights on the CD are: Father To Son, Dream of Peace, Mexico, Voodoo, and I'm in Love. Be sure to catch him on tour this summer/fall as well -- he can really put on a great live show!

Leroy Bell and His Only Friends have a great new sound with wide appeal and lyrics that touch the heart. I really enjoy the addition of the cello in the mix and Rick Novito on guitar. They are all outstanding musicians who have the kind of synergy to be big!

The next band to make it out of Seattle. Very well crafted pop tunes executed brilliantly. Vocally astounding and Leroy's got Seattle's best guitar player Rick Novito. Who could ask for more?

Leroy Bell and His Only friends have blessed us all with a new sound that is refreshing to hear. We finally have music to listen to that has shades of the old school R&B but is not the same old stuff. The lyrics are deep and the band is outstanding. I haven't been this excited about music in years. "Two Sides To Every Story" is a must have CD, and if don't already have "Spending Time" you might as well grab it too. You won't be sorry. You can listen to every song on both all day long.

Saw LB at the Rogue Theater in Grants Pass when he opened up for Beausoleil. Had one of those moments when out of the blue, something wonderful happens. What a fantastic show. Thought to myself, "Why is he opening for someone else? He should be headlining." Did something I rarely do, went to the lobby and bought both his CD's. Well anyway, this is a great CD. All the tunes are well worth listening to. What a great songwriter. Fantastic to see him getting national exposure. Hope he wins.

My wife and I were fortunate to see LeRoy perform in Ann Arbor, Michigan. LeRoy is an incredible performer and this cd is reflective of his awesome talent. Most cds I own (over 150) have only a couple of songs that I really like, there are that handful that contain a majority of songs I like, then, as in this case, there are the very rare ones, of which, I love every song.

If you have never seen Leroy and his only friends live, you need to. LeRoy performed in Ann Arbor with only one friend, Terry Morgan, an incredible musician himself, and it was an incredible evening. They drove through a tornado to perform. It was a very intimate performance, one which none of us in attendance will soon forget. I only hope those who plan the "Party in the Park" for Ann Arbor have the foresight to invite LeRoy, Terry and his other friends to perform, I for one, would not miss it for anything! So, thanks for the awesome concert, and I have already got this cd loaded onto my MP3 player and anticipate many hours of music enjoyment.

This is an outstanding collection of music, the lyrics are easy to understand and the music is upbeat; an exceptional musician and artist!!!!

I've JUST heard Leroy Bell on my cable TV music channel... and honestly... don't get why I haven't heard of him earlier... LOVE his music... and expect him to become the next OVERNIGHT SENSATION... YEARS in the MAKING

LeRoy Bell and his friends have created music that we all must hear to appreciate and to grow. I am especially fond of Rick Novito, the guitar player, my brother's good friend and my secret crush. Even though Rick is no longer with us, I am sure he is inspiring the band. Excellent, the bestl! Vicki
