though it is not really a 'toy' per se' it is an action figureine that oould be used as an expesnive and well done "toy" It is a collector's peice(meaning it stays in the box) or in my case, a display item a mantal piece, so to speak, since I can audaciously remove my rightful property from the box and arrange said equipment properly along with my OU Sooners memarabilia "action" football guys and my "looks best arranged" gear from other geners. The Taylor face/hair style(or lack of a hairline) is shockingly perfect! I'd know the Heston's version of taylor in all his "uggly handsomeness' because my brother has that same annoyingly tall spindly head and pealed back hairline.(that women like him for and hate me for my low browline bangs and sloped forenoggin). There is also a "Bret" figure but he is not true to the Fransiscous appearence but cool astronaut decontam fatigues/gear. I'd like to see the "Ship" ICaurs that could hold all this but that would be something for a customer modeler to do himself I think, in his garage. I don't know why so much of the "Go Ape" memorabilia is being redone, guess another movie is coming out(hopefully Johney Depp will be taylor(just a bit of dry chalous humor). and Hel Bon Cart will be both Nova and Zira because seeing her, a 40ish cockney commoner, naked just makes me weep(as in want to pull out my eyes and hand them to Ray Milland to ditch in the sunday school dumpster.)

Ever since I saw this movie as a kid, I have wanted a Taylor Astronuaut figure! Now, many years later: HERE HE IS!!! And it is even BETTER than I had hoped for! The uniform! The equipment! The face sculpt! He is PERFECT! Now, if only Sideshow would also make astronauts of Burkhe, Virdion, Dodge, and Langdon (they already made Brent, which I also have) we could have a full ANSA crew (maybe all of whom can perhaps give Dr. Zaius some well deserved payback?).
The range of articulation is fantastic, he holds his poses well and the DETAIL is truly extraodinary. At less than $50.00 I feel it was a very good value/quality deal. He is definitely a figure you willwant to exhibit with pride!
