This review is from: Sideshow Heroes of the Rebellion Collectibles Star Wars Deluxe 12 Inch Action Figure Han Solo: Smuggler (Tatooine) (Toy)
The Sideshow Heroes 12 inch Han Solo is outstandingly made and the likeness to a young Harrison Ford is remarkable. The clothing is dead on with what we saw at the movies or on DVDs. I'm not so sure how durable the figure is....I don't plan to have any backyard adventures with him. However, he's not built loose or anything like that. He comes with some cool accessories to boot. Two sets of hands (gloved and ungloved), a blaster and a stormtrooper rifle. All in all it's a fantastic piece to add to anyones collection.

This review is from: Sideshow Heroes of the Rebellion Collectibles Star Wars Deluxe 12 Inch Action Figure Han Solo: Smuggler (Tatooine) (Toy)
The face/head sculpt is a very good likeness and is a sturdy piece but the paint will not hold up to rough use. Most of what Sideshow makes is for collectors for display and not meant for anything more than casual play. He has numerous points of articulation, I think 25 total, but mine has loose arm joints and will not hold a pose with either shoulder raised. The loose joints are a problem which continues to plague Sideshow despite changing to a newly designed body later in this line, although not as frequent now. The holster and belt are very nice faux leather and the weapon has about as much detail as you can get. This version of Han has a seriously funny and sad flaw, his arms are closer in proportion to that of a monkey vs a human. All you can do to try and hide the fact is to bend the arms at the elbow or pose him with arms behind like standing at attention military style. This monkey arm problem was the same for several other figures in the line early on and before the basic male body was updated and then changed altogether.
Overall the fairly accurate clothing, face sculpt, weapon with holster and belt, and general appearance make this version of Han a great value at $30 or less.
Purchase and enjoy!
