Scrapomatic's "Sidewalk Caesars" is a compelling set that uses the blues as a departure point. "Killing Yourself On Purpose" lopes along with a gentle beat and whirls up a storm, "Throw my ashes in the river; Hang my halo out to dry; Throw my ashes in the river or catch me like a cloud going by." "I Want the Truth" bounces to a subtle throb before exploding with Derek Trucks' stinging lead guitar. "The Fire Next Time" pulses with Tyler Greenwell's slamming percussion on a shuffle that seems like a hybrid between blues & Dan Hicks & His Hot Licks. "I Just Wanna Hang Around With You" jives at full speed on a stellar track, "You can keep the cash, you can keep the stash, you can keep my shepherd too." "Sidewalk Caesars" is an impressive disc well worth seeking out. Enjoy!

This album is (after only one listen) right there at my current top. The description is right on. The elements of blues, rock, jazz, country, soul all exist here on this album, and do so in good measure. Mike sounds great as usual. Put this on and your ears will thank you for it!

I first heard of Scrapomatic from Pandora Radio. I like their vocals especially some of the harmonizations. A good Blues/Rock collection.
