Book Description

(The Legend of the Gate Keeper #2)

“I swear...when your heads hang from the walls of Taron, they will stay there for as long as I am queen! When the birds pluck out your eyes, they will remain for all to see! When the flesh rots from your skulls and falls to the ground; when skulls yellowed by age are all that is left for the world to lay eyes upon...they will remain!” Her voice returned once again to a dangerous whisper. “I promise you both...your memories will live on...forever.”

This book is intended for mature audiences.

3.0 out of 5 stars Pretty good story. Weak dialog. August 29, 2013
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
Story is entertaining and keeps your interest. The dialog doesn't fit the story line. The "you guys" an "you kids" just don't go with a fantasy story set in a far distant future after some undefined apocalypse.

3.0 out of 5 stars Pretty good read but needs editing April 2, 2013
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
Overall I liked the both books in the series but they definitely needs editing as there are numerous misspelling, wrong usage of words and way too many exclamation points. Exclamation points have their purpose but they lose their meaning if used as frequently as the author does in these books.
I liked the characters and the female characters were all strong and self sufficient which is always a plus to me as I can't stand weak characters, especially feminine ones. At times the characters didn't seem to act or react in a way that seemed real but overall they were likeable and believable. I was bothered that several of the key characters seemed to fade away by the end of the book and never really returned. I assume they will reappear in book 3 but it seemed like the author forgot about them or split the book down the middle and used the other half as book three.
I don't want to sound too critical as the author has potential and writing skill but he definitely needs to fine tune things a bit. The book had a steady pace and I didn't feel lost or bored reading it but I would like to see the author really look at punctuation, editing, etc in the next book as that can sometimes make or break a book and I would hate to see a potential talent like his go down the drain. I would probably have given the book 4 stars but for the numerous typos, grammatical errors and excessive use of exclamation points.

5.0 out of 5 stars The ladies ruled this book. March 27, 2014
By Renanda
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
If you love heroism this book is for you. Action, drama, love. What more does a story need? The characters are so easy to fall in love with. It puts you on the edge of your seat because of the danger they're in. Off to book 3.

well written; interesting plot; not sure why the libraries don't have this book series on their shelves. I am thoroughly enjoying the books; good for all ages, adolescent to 60s, which I am!

4.0 out of 5 stars Very good story telling - recommended February 26, 2014

Very good story telling - recommended reading for buff of both medieval times with ties to advanced technology and delicately told future "history". I look forward to the next sequel.

Excellent! I loved the first book and the second continues the story very nicely. This is now one of my favorite book series of all time! I can't wait to finish the rest! No complaints on this book at all. I am in love with all characters. I especially liked Shantis and Athel.
