I used this to replace a broken 4100 under AT&T DSL in Northern California. Worked fine. I just reset the device, plugged in and logged on to ISP with password, set to Bridge to use my Router, and all is fine. Good price, works fine.

This is a BRIDGING modem, not a routing modem. There is NO web based configuration page with an address like 192.168.0.1. Make sure you know the difference. There are other 5100 models that ARE routing models, like the 5100b.

After figuring out the difference between bridging and routing, installation was easy, it fired right up, looks good, is real stable, and generally works like a charm without ever thinking about it.

Make sure you know your ISP's NETWORK login and password for your account. It will be different than the one you use to pay your bill or view your account status, etc. This network login and password enters into your Router's internet configuration page under PPPoE.

I bought this from a brand new Amazon dealer. He did a great job, I wish him good luck.

I received the SpeedStream 5100 modemn in great condition in less than a week Now I have internet again, thank you Efficient Networks!!

After my modem broke into pieces I needed a new modem; I was able to find a very decent priced modem right here and I am very satisfied. Not only did the product come early, but it works just like brand new! Very easy set up just plug inthe usb and your set to go.

The modem works perfectly so I have no complaint about the purchase. The wrong power supply was sent however. Fortunately I had my old power supply to use with the new modem so everything was fine. If the old power supply did not work, I would have contacted the seller but did not bother since all was functional.

It never would work with my provider, A.T.& T.! It was useless! My computer could never detect that a modem was connected, so I reverted to my poorly working old one! You don't have ZERO STARS rating!

i received this modem and it was BROKEN...and it DID NOT come with any cords or plug ins....i filed a claim and expect a full refund...DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS PERSON...they are stealing from you!!!!!!!!!
