Key word "Molding",

This review is from: Sierra Tools JT1851 Set of 4 Curtain Rod Holders (Tools & Home Improvement)
Well, I over looked the key word "molding" paying too much attention to the illustration posted. On the picture it actually looks like it goeas over the corner of the door. My metal back door with too many windows for comfort won't let me just put up a regular curtain rod without actual drilling so I think I got a little too happy when I saw these. So hopefully I can help prevent someone else from doing the same if you also look and think it actually fits on the corners of the door.
I do have molding around my windows in the door so I did attempt to just go ahead and use it in it's made for use. I tried to just slide it on but it wouldn't just slide on. With so much glass and being a renter I was and still am skeptical on having to get a hammer and tap it into the molding because it is going to need to be tapped unless you have loose molding. So back to the ideas board before I just get a roll of shipping tape and tape up a sheet.

Installed all new windows in our house. Had all new trim installed. I was not going to split the mitered corners again, putting up curtin rod hangers. These work GREAT... No more tiny nails to drive in. No more split miters. And best of all, all the dapes hang at all the same level. Your curtins will cover all of the bracket.

Pros - Excellent idea
- Great for Light curtains - i.e Kitchen window curtains - Great for behind curtain sheers (light weight Cons - Center Rod holder screw is cheaply made and tends to rotate - BIG Problem if you like your curtains to be level. - Does really hold its place on the molding, tends to slip and become loose which enables it to fall. There are two holes where you can tack or nail them in, I strongly suggest doing this. - If you have 2 sets of curtains (sheers/curtains) on 1 window, unit just is NOT strong enough to hold both. Would I buy this again, Yes but only for the inner sheers OR light kitchen/bathroom curtains.

This is a great idea but it does not fit my windows. I live in a 200 year old house and the wood is too thick. You may want to measure before purchasing. I am going to try to modify them to make them work.

It was a good idea, however, it has to be able to go around the back side of the frame as you can see in the picutre. My window frames are sealed so they are unuseable.
