Product Description

Wikinvest Portfolio for Android tracks all of your investment accounts, all in one place. Set up your investment and finance accounts on Wikinvest.com, or add them directly from the application so you can follow all of your investments wherever you go. Wikinvest's secure connection automatically imports your stock, ETF, and mutual fund holdings into one view and updates nightly so you never have to enter your trades or holdings into a portfolio management tool again.

You can currently import holdings from more than 60 brokerages, including Ameriprise Financial, Edward Jones, Etrade, Fidelity, Franklin Templeton, Hewitt, Janus, Merrill Lynch, Morgan Stanley Smith Barney, OptionsXpress, Prudential, Salomon Smith Barney, Scottrade, Sharebuilder, Schwab, TD Ameritrade, Thinkorswim, T. Rowe Price, UBS, USAA, Vanguard, Wachovia, Zecco, and many more.

Don't see your brokerage in the list? Let the developer know. You can still use the Wikinvest Portfolio even if your brokerages aren't supported by setting up your portfolios and watchlists manually on Wikinvest.com or in the app.

Rotate to compare your performance to major indices with performance and account value charts. Stay up-to-date with the markets each day with real-time quotes and news for your entire portfolio along with top news and quotes from the general markets. Then, research your next investment with company charts, news, community analysis and fundamentals data.

The app's servers are protected by 24/7 on-site security and uses 256-bit SSL encryption for all of the data. None of your data is personally identifiable. This portfolio tracker is read-only; you cannot make trades from this platform. Wikinvest has been reviewed by Verisign, McAfee, TRUSTe, as well as security experts from Amazon.com.

Brokerage import is limited to U.S. brokerages that support OFX at this time. More brokerages will be added in the coming months. Options and fixed income products can be imported, but historical prices are not supported at this time.

I use Wikinvest on my iPad so I was very happy to see the ad free version for my android tablet as the free app of the day.

The app does ask for your log in information for your investment bank which will turn a lot of people off right away. If you are not comfortable giving out this information then this app is not for you and I recommend that you use google finance. I have used Wikinvest for over a year now and am very comfortable stating that I trust this company to keep my information secure.

If you do end up using this app you will find that the app works very well and I haven't run into any bugs or issues yet. The app offers a ton of great statistical information on your portfolio.

This app requires you to input your financial institutions username and password. It updates your stock info at night. I didn't feel comfortable providing my log in information to a third party company that would then gain access to all of my stock accounts.Google Finance doesn't require personal information and it provides you with real-time quotes during trading sessions. It's a much better app and it's free.

This application is decent, but still needs improvement. I have 3 retirement fund accounts at 3 different sites from 3 former employers, and thought this would be a great way to simplify checking in on all of them. I first added my Fidelity account with no problem whatsoever. Worked perfectly! I next went to add my WellsFargo IRA account, and while it was not as simple at selecting WellsFargo, and entering my username and password, I was able to manually add this as a ticker was available for my fund. I entered the number of shares I currently own and was done with that account. Next I tried adding my current employer's ING Retirement Plan account, but for some reason selecting ING within this app forces you to Sharebuilder. I went to the wikinvest.com site, same issue. I was also not able to add any of the funds I am invested in since they don't seem to correspond directly to any stock ticker. While 2 out of 3 ain't bad, not being able to show the account for my current 401k is a bit disheartening. If this is not corrected soon I will uninstall the app.

I also noticed on the website you can select what information you would like to display for each account, while this app only has share price and % change, without the ability to view other information, such as change in $, original purchase price, number of shares, total value of shares you own, etc. If it's on the site, why not in the app?

Simple review, because the buck stops where the developer lies: This app, titled "Ad-Free," throws up ads all over the place and simply isn't ad-free.

There is a roughly 0% chance that the developer merely made a mistake.

EDIT: Developer appears to have caught up with the complaints and belatedly removed advertisements. So I've updated my rating to four stars.

Says Ad free but contains ads. also, only updates at night. on the bright side, their customer support was responsive, but the answer they gave for why my profile wasn't updating was that it only updates at night.

Ran Dr. Web after installing Wikinvest (adfree) from Amazon app store and Dr. Web reports that it is a threat - "Android.Gongfu.origin.10". Not wanting to take any risk so I uninstall Wikinvest.

Seems to be a decent app, but not ad-free as the title and normal price would suggest. So a good app, but a poor free app of the day since you can get it anytime for free with the ads.

But sounds like umadbro. Umadbro? Why? Cuz some of us, (a few generations younger than baby boomers btw,) had the sense to work hard, get a job, live within our means, build up a savings, & begin to successfully invest in our future? That makes umadbro? Well guess what?! You can do it, too! Get off your ascot & work for a living! Don't buy things you can't afford! If that sounds all too much for you, then go occupy something & get out of our "elite 1%" way. Ukiddingmebro? Wanting to give yourself & your family a comfortable future does not put us in any elitist hierarchy. Puhleeze.

That being said....this app would be great, but there's no way I'd ever be naive enough to just hand over any account info. They say it's safe, & you've used it no problem? So I should just trust you? No thank you. I'll stick to my broker's site for now. Regardless how reputable this developer might be, cell phones & tablets aren't secure enough to safely input any of my financial information. Yeah, it might be ok, but what if it's not? Not worth it no matter how amazing this app might be.
