Not particularly durable,

This review is from: Sigg Big Kids Water Bottle (0.6-Liters) (Misc.)
We have 4 Siggs- 2 adult and 2 kids. They really do protect the taste of your water- nothing like drinking out of a nalgene bottle. However, all of ours have dented severely after just a few days of pretty light use. We haven't even used them hiking yet. I can't see these bottles lasting more than a few seasons.

Great taste, easily dented,
This review is from: Sigg Big Kids Water Bottle (0.6-Liters) (Misc.)
We have five Sig water bottles- two .6 liter bottles for the kids, two liter bottles for the adults, and one .75 sport bottle. I love mine- I use the screw on cap and the "bottle cat" to keep it attached to the bottle, because I prefer to take big gulps, everyone else uses the sport style caps. The three large bottles all have the sport touch finish, which is a nice matte texture.
The larger bottles (that the adults use) are in great condition- no dents, and only a couple of scratches on the one I take to work. The kid's bottles, however, look like they were hit by a car from Death Race 2000. The finish is still mostly intact, with only a few scratches on each, but they are dented like crazy. One particularly large dent happened from a fall from the fridge onto ceramic tile- so even if you don't go hiking these may end up with some battle scars. Despite dents and dings, the girls (7 and 9) really like their bottles. The designs are unique and pretty, and the mud caps match the colors of the bottle. Even if we have to replace them in a year for aesthetic reasons, the cost savings far outweigh buying bottled water, they look nicer, and the kids can easily tell which bottle belongs to them. Brand new, these bottles do have a weird taste- wash them thoroughly with the hottest, soapiest water possible several times, and the taste will be gone for good. The bottles are also good for travel- you can take empty containers through airport security, but before sending it through the x-ray take it out of your carry on bag so they can see what it is, and take the cap off so they know it's empty.

Great item except ...Sport cap and denting issues,
This review is from: Sigg Big Kids Water Bottle (0.6-Liters) (Misc.)
These Sigg bottles are great when you compare them to Nalgenes as long as the points you focus on are imagery and taste of the water. From a usability standpoint, they're harder to clean with the narrow mouth, and the sport cap has it's flaws. There is too much fiddling with the cap before and after drinking for a child to make sure it remains leakproof and clean. And they dent up if you look at them sideways-- Not compromising structural integrity at all, but now they look rather... well, dented! The larger, adult sized ones, seem more dent resistant.
Also don't put hot drinks in -- Not gonna keep anything inside warm. 2115|RJCLFK06DPEED;2115|R2TPV633EC8JKQ;2115|R1ZFF0DTONEX9R;
