4.0 out of 5 stars Not so much rinsing!
I love my Sigg bottle--it is nice and lightweight and, so far as we know, does not have potential to leach toxins, nor does it impart a metallic taste. The downside is that it isn't dishwasherable.

Using dishwashing liquid to clean my bottle means a whole lot of rinsing to get even the tiniest drop out. These tablets also require rinsing, but once seems to be...

1.0 out of 5 stars Beware - Just Expensive Efferdent Tablets
I was disappointed to open the box and discover these Sigg cleaning tablets are basically repackaged Efferdent tablets with a much higher price tag. I use Efferdent tablets to clean flower vases quite effectively and, after I use up the box of Sigg tablets, I will switch to the way less expensive Efferdent tablets.

3.0 out of 5 stars Not necessary but nice to have, May 4, 2008

I think it's great to have a pack around but probably not something you have to replenish frequently if you only use it for a full disinfection on the bottle every once in a while. I think investing in a sigg bottle brush is just as good for cleaning the bottle.
It's basically dropping a tab into the bottle, fill the bottle up to the neck with water, and let it soak for a few minutes, then you are done!

1.0 out of 5 stars Too expensive for what it is, July 27, 2008

Like a previous reviewer, I use denture tablets for my Sigg and Camelbak stuff. This is an expensive alternative.

Using dishwashing liquid to clean my bottle means a whole lot of rinsing to get even the tiniest drop out. These tablets also require rinsing, but once seems to be enough. They take 30 minutes to work, and aren't cheap, but they sure are easy.

These tablets work just fine, but they're awfully expensive for home use. You can clean your Sigg bottle with hot water and vinegar. If you have some crusty residue in the bottle that needs scrubbing you can use a bottle brush (cheaper if you go to the baby aisle than from Sigg) and some baking soda. I agree with reviewers who suggest avoiding traditional dish soap, you'll be rinsing for hours. After you wash with vinegar and/or baking soda, rinse with fresh water. Done.

Leaves the bottle clean without leaving behind a residue. It doesn't have any smell either.

These worked well. I had the bottle for a while but didn't have an easy way to clean it. The brush and the tablets got the dark spots that had formed on the bottom of the bottle out. Great.

5.0 out of 5 stars Convenient and Easy To Use, December 6, 2009

My husband and I have Sigg bottles which we use every day. The drinking water in Massachusetts is very tasty. Since ordering the Sigg bottles, we no longer are lugging heavy packs of water home very month. However, cleaning the bottles is not as easy as one would think. They cannot be washed in a dishwasher and it is a nuisance to rinse after using dish washing liquid. These tablets combined with a bottle brush make for an easy method of cleaning your water bottles.

I've had the SIGG bottles for a long time, and a soapy water rinse just doesn't get rid of the metallic taste. These work great, I use them on my thermos also. They are fizzy tablets, maybe just Alka-Seltzer would work next time.

2.0 out of 5 stars Nasty, October 5, 2010
This review is from: Sigg Water Bottle Clean Tablets (Sports)
These are expensive and leave a nasty aftertaste in the water, despite a ton of rinsing to try and get rid of it.
