This book can help save lives,
This review is from: A Sigh of Relief: The First-Aid Handbook For Childhood Emergencies (Paperback)
As a child, I grew up with "a sigh of relief" in our home, and it always came in handy when someone was injured. The color coded sections make it quick to find something in an emergency, and nearly every injury imaginable is covered with pictures and text so that when you are in a panic directions are easy to understand.
I recommend this to anyone who has a child and even to adults without children, as the instructions cross over to camping, hunting, fishing, electrical injury and seizures etc. Additionally, I would recommend that parents give this book to their children to study, as my parents did. I was in a situation with an epileptic in high school who went into a seizure in class, and I was the only one (including the teacher who had apparently been instructed by the school in how to help her) who knew what the proper steps were to clear the space around her, hold the back of her head etc. It was all from reading this book frequently (because I liked the pictures) so giving it to a child can give them the tools to help someone with a potentially serious injury.
