As far as the reflex sight goes it is very well constructed. I have mine mounted on a Rem 870 Tac 12Ga. So far it has kept within the shot pattern at 25yrds. I am not planning on hunting with this sight, so I do not feel the need to sight it in at farther ranges. For it's intended purpose "Home Defense" 25yards is about the most you would encounter with a 12Ga! If you are looking at this sight for the added benefit of the laser, you might want to pass until Sightmark adds the ability to adjust the laser beam. If I would have known the laser was not adjustable, I would not have bought this sight. You basically have to use Kentucky windage as the laser spot is offset to the right, the same distance it is from the sight it's self. The red beam is very hard to see in bright light. What I was looking for was a micro reflex sight with an added green fully adjustable laser. Until then, I will have to make do with this sight and it's red Non adjustable Kentucky windage laser!!.....;)

Very pleased with the quality almost all metal, no plastic. More than happy for only $80 for a decent laser and reflex sight in one. Haven't used it on anything bigger than a .22 caliber but wouldn't be scared to put it on a 223 or similar caliber. It does stay true and is easy to sight in. Laser and sight dot move together when adjusting. 5 stars if it came with pressure switch.

I read a lot of the reviews before posting mine. This product works just fine. I have had it mounted on my M4 and just for fun on an M1A. I use the laser as a CQB backup to the reflex. The laser is not meant to be a outside in the sun laser. During the day its shows up to about 100 yards easily and at night I would say up to 800 in perfect conditions. I have not had any problems with it holding a zero or anything else crazy. Yes the laser point and reflex do not match up in your field of view but that is normal and not a problem. Just like two headlights mounted on 2 different points show light at two places from your vehicle, this will as well. What shooter's need to know is lasers project a straight beam of light. A bullet leaves the barrel heading up, then starts to fall to the Earth in a parabola. This means that lasers work great for a quick general idea of where the shot will hit but do not make up for lack of training. I use a laser boresighter to set the reflex to 300 yards (ballistics same at 300 yards and 36 yards from the shooter in this case) and then confirm my zero with a live fire. The main things to know before you buy any optics are; what weapon, caliber, ammo and conditions do you shoot in. I know the ballistics of my weapon and use ammo that I know gives me consistent results. A scope can't make a video game super special ops wannabe into an operator with lethal precision, you must learn how to use each piece of your gear properly.

Well built sight for the price. I really like the concept of having both a reflex and a laser in one sight. I would have liked to seen an adjustment on the laser and thumb knobs for installing the sight to the rail instead of an Allen wrench. Same for adjusting the sight, you have to use an Allen wrench instead of a coin which means you should carry a wrench in case it gets out of adjustment. It holds alignment well and I would recommend this sight to others.

Very rigid construction recoil does not affect this device at all. Laser does not match with red dot, but when using it on my shotgun with buckshot it's close enough. Optic is bright enough for day time use. Obviously this is not a competition or battlefield ready device, that said for home defense and or target shooting the price to performance ratio is great.

Recently bought the SM13002 Sightmark red dot sight. I mounted it on my AR15. Really works great. Got the 45 degree mount so I can still use the scope. Fit and finis is very good. Looks great on the gun.

NOT strong enough for a shotgun. As soon as I ran 3" slugs through my shotgun, the sight would turn itself off and you have to slide to somewhere in between 6 & 7 to turn it back on...laser still works, but you won't see it during the daytime...main reason I got it was for the holographic sight and that is useless if it doesn't stay on...
