It is very easy to install and to sight in.
Cody
It did not fit my weaver mount, the bar that holds the sight in place was too thick, so it would not seat all the way.
F. W. Stanton
The reticle is clear and sharp with an adjustment to seven brightness settings.

If you want the both-eyes-open, lightning-fast, parallax-free sighting of an eotech, but arent ready to drop $350 on a sight, this is the holosight for you. They can handle a lot of recoil. i know-- i have one on my Hi-point 9mm, one on my AR-15, and one on my WASR-10, and none of them have ever failed. once you get used to shooting with both eyes open, this sight will double your effective shooting speed. By the way, if you own an A2 AR-15, this sight will co-witness perfectly if you scout-mount it on your quad rail. one small note: be careful not to overtighten it-- i stripped the allen screw on this one. this never happened with the other two, but i just thought it would be worth mentioning.

I use this site on the Mako mount for my Glock 17 race gun. I didn't want to spend a fortune on a red dot sight as I am not sure yet whether I wanted to shoot with one or not. Before buying this one, I had bought the UAG Red dot sight. It looks identical to this, but with important differences. I could not mount the UAG red dot on any of my mounts. The mounts on the Sightmark are better, and it comes with very clear instructions. I have tried it once, and it was accurate the entire time. The sight was spot on and did not move its focus.

In my opinion, if you are not a world class shooter, spending 500-600 dollars on a red dot sight is overkill. This will do the job and it looks good as well. It looks great on top of my Glock.

I will update this review weekly so that you can see how it holds up. Keep you posted.

***UPDATE***
I actually used it in competition yesterday. I was shooting rapid fire and shot about 200 rounds of 9mm last night. It worked fine. I am just not used to shooting with a red dot, so I end up focusing on the red dot rather than the target, so I was a little slow on taking my first shot. That will take practise, but the red dot held up its end.

***UPDATE May 31,2011***
I took this to the desert, and under the noon sun, I did speed steel shooting with this sight on my modified Glock 17 9mm Race Gun. It was amazing! I could see the Bulls-eye hollogram(a wide Red Ring with a red dot in the center) thru the noon sun. I shot for 5 hours and it did not fail or lose focus. It is not for precision target shooting. Since my mount allows me to use my iron sights for more precise shots, I use this for speed shooting. I just focus on putting the red ring on the target. From 5 to 30 yards, the impact point will be within the circle.

I bought this to give it a try on my 12 gauge shotgun. Wanted something better than stock iron sights but did not want a scope. I could not be happier. I hunt deer with this and have not missed one yet. Adjustable brightness is good for early morning shots and in the middle of a sunny day. I've had it out in every weather condition and is very rugged- no problems. I was hesitant on mounting on a shotgun worried that the recoil would knock it out after a couple of shots but after 2 years of shooting, it is still dead on and have not had to adjust it. Now my son, dad, brother and uncle have one and they love it. For under $50- you can't beat it.

Mounted this on my Mossberg 500 shotgun which I've configured for tactical / home defense use. It's a Picatinny rail mount so that's why others have mentioned difficulties. A Weaver mount easily goes on a Picatinny rail but a Picatinny mount has problems going on a Weaver rail.

My Picatinny rail is 8" in length and the height of this sight above the rail allowed me to mount a laser in front of it without blocking the sight's view. This way I don't have to worry about optics on both the bottom and the top of the shotgun; they're all in one place.

So far so good. Zero'd it in with about a dozen rounds; the trick is to make sure you have consistent relative positioning of your eyes to the sight. I do this by firing with the skin over my cheekbone lightly brushing against the same spot on the stock each time. Fired a total of 40 rounds and the zero held fine. On the range, a setting of 2 out of 7 for illumination was fine. Outside on a sunny (though February) day in the Northeast, a setting of 4 was usable but 5 was easy and 7 was overkill. Based on this, I think it'll be fine in the bright summer sunshine though that's not my intended use.

I think they've hit a home run with this sight, especially when you consider the price tag.

I use this on my personal S&W M&P 15 Sport. It is a very good product. I'm currently in the military in a combat arms Battalion and use high end sights similar to this one on my issue rifle. This Reflex sight has held true after 500+ rounds thru the rifle. I have it sighted in at 50 yards and put 5.56 and .223 rounds grouped very close on target where I aim. I take my M&P 15 on hunts with me in case of wild hogs and just shot one a week before Thanksgiving while deer hunting in East TEXAS, a 250+ pound boar. I let him walk within 50 yards and put 2 in his head right where I aimed. It was a low light shooting and the ability to adjust (dim) the brightness of the red dot helped out greatly. You can spend many more $$$ on this style of sight, but for the hunter or person who just like to shoot this is a good product for a great price.
